Not waterproofStanBought this for our toddler’s bed. Fits well on IKEA Vestmarka single bed but be aware it is not waterproof. There is a very thin rubber/plastic layer underneath which is best to repel dirt/dust to protect the mattress but definitely not liquids.
We’ve had many bedtime wee accidents and not once did the protector work to prevent the liquid going through to the mattress. Very disappointing and false advertising.

Not waterproof, not fit for purposeSarahWe purchased two of these “waterproof” mattress protectors for our son’s new mattress. Since purchasing my son has had two accidents (one each protector as I threw the first out after thinking it was faulty) both of which leaked through into the new mattress. This most recent accident happened shortly after he went to bed so leaked through fairly quickly. We are extremely disappointed with this protector, having cost us an expensive mattress. It is false to advertise this protector as waterproof!

Item was not waterproofJesI'm not sure if my item was defective or this is an issue with the product more generally, but the first time this protector was tested, the liquid soaked straight through to the mattress.
I purchased this as I have an elderly pet with incontinence issues, so the outcome wasn't great. I've learned my lesson and will confirm future waterproof products with water before using! 1
