DOES NOT WORK. Spent hours trying to get it to connectDavidWorst design possible. The plug and the remote DO NOT connect. Zero Instructions for troubleshooting. I’ve spent hours plugging in/ figuring out how to reset and restart the pairing process… just to wait the 15 minutes and nothing connects. Horrible!! I’m a 15 year Mechatronic engineer and this pairing device is shocking and frustrating.1
Good with caveatsNicholasPairs with Home Assistant without hassle. The plug is too large to fit two side by side on a double GPO, however, the manual button is on top which saves you having to deconflict the button like you do on the Chinese Zigbee plugs. The button does not have the Matter pairing barcode printed anywhere on it. The only copy is on one of the bits of paper in the package - loose that and you'll never be able to pair the button again.4

Honestly the only ikea smart device worth buyingAnonymous reviewerThe remote comes pre-connected so you don't have to fiddle with the app or a gateway, both of which are horrendous to use. Do not pair with the gateway - it will break the direct connection and you will have to go through the hub. If your hub goes down for any reason, you you wont be able to use the remote. Another issue is that it blocks the second plug, so this unfortunately means you cannot use the second plug on a double wall socket4
