Down and feathers are natural materials that sometimes have a slight smell. The smell is harmless and fades over time. Airing or washing , and drying it thoroughly in a dryer, helps the smell fade faster.

Tumble dry after washing until the filling is completely dry.

This product is suitable for use in smaller hotels, inns and B&Bs as the design and material are optimised for frequent use and washing.

This product is flammability tested and complies with standard EN ISO 12952-1.

This product is flammability tested in accordance to standard CAN/CGSB 4.2 No 27.5 and meets the requirement of flame spread time ≥7.1 sec.

Light and warm but strong odour.KevinThese quilts arrived tightly packed in plastic, a strong odour was evident on opening . The instructions included advised airing the quilts prior to use and this was done in strong sunlight , outdoors on a breezy day. As the quilts were purchased for use in a caravan they were then folded and placed on the beds in the caravan. The next day the odour was very strong within the caravan and further outdoor airing was undertaken, which seemed to remove most of the chemical/wet dog smell in one of the quilts, but the second one is still a work in progress a week later....hopefully it will fade with time. Do not assume you can use these quilts straight out the packaging, the smell would make this an extremely unpleasant experience.3

Not the same duvet as 3 years agoEdiI am disappointed with the duvet heaviness, in 2022 I bought a king size of this brand, I absolutely loved it, heavy, chunky, amazing, this where I get really frustrated and disappointed, I recently just went back to ikea and bought a queen size one of this brand, it is like a whole different duvet, it is not as the same as my previous purchased in 2022: it is not heavy and chunky anymore, I don’t understand why they have done that… but I have both products to side by side comparison 2022 king: 👍🏽 great, 2025: queen: so disappointing 👎🏽, I really don’t understand if this was a savings cutting measures or what, but I can definitely say this 2025 queen duvet, for me leaves much to be desired. I thought many times of sending it back. I really wanted the full experience I had with the 2022 one, and the price is very expensive, actually the price have gone up since 2022. So disappointed.👎🏽2

Not very warmDarrenI purchased this duvet because it’s labeled as “Very Warm,” but unfortunately, it is not as described. Even on cooler nights, it doesn’t provide the warmth I expected. Very disappointed, as I was looking for a truly warm duvet and this product didn’t meet that need. In terms of warmth and comfort, I don’t find it satisfactory. I hope IKEA can improve the accuracy of their warmth ratings.2
Super warm, feels like a hotel every night!BrieLove this quilt, feels like I’m sleeping in a hotel bed every night. Super warm and cozy. The only downside is it is quite heavy and has a tendency to bunch in the quilt cover but is easily fixed with a quick shake out. Material

How to care for your down/feather duvet

With a little care, you can prolong the life of your down/feather duvet and keep it fresh. The filling has a natural smell which can be reduced by airing or washing. Wash the duvet separately with a mild detergent (1/3 of the normal amount) on delicate cycle at 60°C. Avoid bleach/fabric softeners. Tumble dry immediately on low heat. A dryer ball or a high-quality tennis ball in the dryer will ensure more efficient drying. Air your duvet regularly, if possible, in direct sunlight.
