Difficult to adjust and not long enoughMelanieI will actually return this tension rod, it is really difficult to extend, especially with any weight on it. For me, it doesn't extend wide enough (but that was me not measuring). I tried in a suitable door way and found it to difficult to tension to keep the rod in place, and the very light curtain I had on the other end just caused it to fall. The rod is too stiff, it is simply not very ikea, in how difficult I found it to use.1

Works greatAmenaI was a little hesitant at first after reading some of the reviews, but went ahead with the purchase anyway. I definitely don't regret going through with it. I have it installed over one of my doors and it's holding up very well - has not fallen off once. Someone else had already mentioned this, but the trick is to make the rod slightly longer than wherever you need to install it, and basically just slowly shimmy it up into position. Would definitely purchase again should the need arise.5

The rubber hardly holds. It took me a solid half hour to try to get it between the walls, but my walls are slightly unevenly painted, and I couldn't get a grip that could withstand a tug of the curtain I was trying to put up.
It needs larger and stronger rubber.
I guess you get what you pay for.1
