Product details

This lamp has an inner opaque shade and an outer shade in coloured glass, so it provides mood lighting and directed light.

The lamp stands stable thanks to the heavy base in marble.

This lampshade in glass is mouth blown by a skilled craftsperson and therefore unique.

If you want to be able to easily change the light according to mood and needs, you can dim and switch between warm and cold light wirelessly if you complete the lamp with TRÅDFRI remote control kit. Sold separately.

Great design, real materialsTommyWe are using this as a hallway lamp. It really is a very good design. The real stone base is heavy and stable. On the bottom, the inner shade casts a soft but brighter light which makes any table surface look good, while to the side and up the outer shade gives a more tinted and gentler light. We have paired it with a smart bulb with a dimmer remote, which is convenient for the hallway at night and still saves energy. The only tiny imperfection is that the cable is pretty conspicuous unless it is angled precisely away from sight lines.5

Great light but quality isnt perfect for the priceMarioA beautiful designer lamp however the glass shade has defects (small pin holes on the glass). I went to exchange it and the process was extremely painful. The other lamps in stock has similar defects in the glass and the staff weren't helpful with the exchange process and it must be part of the design. In the end in just had to accept the lamp as is with the fault. Not what I would expected from IKEA especially for an expensive designer lamp.1

I was lucky to find this lamp in stock at the Long Island location and decided to splurge. This lamp brings me so much joy every time I see it. I swapped the bulb out for a smart light and it’s been reliable, sturdy, and an artsy add to my space.

Material

What is glass?

Glass is mainly made of sand, soda and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.

"I always want to design products that feel timeless and genuine, both in shape and material. The EVEDAL series is inspired by Scandinavian design from the mid-20th century and my goal is for them to be lamps that you want to keep your entire life, and maybe even pass down to the next generation. The most characteristic thing about it is its outer shade in coloured glass which encloses the inner shining light ‒ something that I think gives the lamp a beautifully poetic look."
