Great design but the new wood is sub-standardJustineThe earlier versions of this hanger were great but I just bought 20 new ones and they are rubbish compared to the old ones. The wood is not as smooth and it catches on delicate fabrics and synthetics, making it harder to use as it doesn’t slide along the fabric.
Poor decision IKEA - don’t adjust a product to increase your margin by delivering a poorer product to the consumer.3

I use the ordinary coat hangers for most of my clothes, but get this model for my more structured coats and jackets as it helps keep their shape better. They aren't as good value as the 8 pack of the basic model, however, I only use them for select items so isn't a big problem.5
