Great Unit for home workshopLindaGreat size and easy to put together5
Almost goodNotsetI am pleased with this product. My only reservation is the difficulty in inserting the screws for the bottom frame of the cupboard.
I am a woman and found difficulty in accessing the area to insert these screws and the key to tighten them. A larger person man or woman would find this task almost immpossible and very frustrating.
I am a little sad for the loss of usable space between the cupboard and the shelving frame.4
8 deadly sinsAaronPutting this BROR together was like punishment. Best described as the 8th deadly sin I would not recommend it to anyone. It is most definitely a 2 day job as once you assemble the inner box you will have to postpone the rest due to brain trauma trying to figure out the rest. I found that looking at a picture of it was better instruction than the instructions.
Also, if you are hoping for instructions for this cabinet in particular, too bad! You’re on your own, good luck!
However I must divulge that the build quality is to a high standard. Once you complete the final boss, you are rewarded with a sturdy fully functioning cabinet, Ta-Dah!2
It's great but here's what to watch out forToshiLooks and feels amazing, but like everyone says, the build process is awful.
You will need a hammer a level, and flat ground. The 4 legs and the thing that supports the cabinet need to be hammered together EXTREMELY level. If you don't do this, you risk shearing the part that hammers together, and the cabinet doors will be misaligned.
Instructions are very unclear. You don't get one for this unit, but for the cabinet only. You will need to find the product page for a shelf unit and try to figure out you would built it, then figure out how it connects to the shelf. I was reading ahead a LOT and between the given manual and the online shelf manual to make sure I wasn't do something irreversible (lots of metal bending and hammering).
You are getting a relatively cheap (alternatives are way higher in price) and good looking product, but the price is reflected in its build quality.4
Ridiculously difficult to assemble - baffling design decisions and no instructionsTravisMy ratings don't really reflect the quality of the cabinet, but more reflect the absolutely ridiculously difficulty of assembling it.
As this is a combination of a shelf and a cabinet in this range, you get instructions on how to put together a shelf and how to assemble a cabinet, but not how to assemble THIS ACTUAL PRODUCT! That's correct this product has no specific assembly intructions, so you get to engage in some free form improv IKEA assembly! Fun right?
I'll admit, flat pack furniture isn't my strong suit, so if you're like me and thinking maybe I'll fumble through and get it in the end, look elsewhere and don't buy this cabinet.
Note the video online of the Bror assembly is just for the shelf and doesn't reflect the reality of how this thing goes together anyway.
In conclusion, buy something else or pay IKEA to assemble it for you.1
Fiddly to assembleWilsonWould prefer to have the parts labelled and listed in the instructions as I struggled to identify them and I'm pretty good with flat packs. it's a two-person job to assemble it as one wrong move, the entire assembly will fall apart and you'll have to start again. Also, to move it around, you have to grab the legs and not the shelf!4
