EDC pocket fixed blade candidateLukeThe sharpness out of the box is good. Put on a convex grind with a #800 whetstone and it's like razer sharp !!! Now it needs a sheath.5

Good but still can improve a lotShingNice steel with VG10 - reasonably hard but still easy to be sharpened compare to my SG2 knife ...., the worse part of this knife is the handle .... too thick and the balance of the knife is not good .....however I still used it as my 2nd VG10 knife.3

Amazing little knifeTiffanyThis truly is comparable to any other high-end knife out there. We replaced our Global knife set with BRILJERA for a fraction of the price. We were impressed with the precision of dicing and chopping from the moment we took them from the box. Much like any knife set, proper care, sharpening, storage and hand washing will ensure this knife last the life span of their 25 year guarantee. We couldn’t be happier with the value for money with this purchase. The only thing missing is a matching bread knife.5
Sooo SharpJennyI have alot of knives. This knife is easy to hold the handle is comfortable. Fantastic for the small cutting in the kitchen. Was a bit wary because it wasn't expensive. Fantastic I love it. Now my go to knife.5
Great zKnifeJaniceI bought this in January 2020. Use it all the time. Still super sharp. Great for a smaller hand. Love it.5
SharpAnonymousStuff is as sharp as genuine Japanese Damascus steel knives, which can run about $150 to $200. Only problem with the IKEA one is that only the blade is made of Damascus steel, with the tang seems to be regular steel welded on. The blade finish is not as good as the hand made ones, but very impressive for a knife of this price consider it's virtually indistinguishable to most people.5

What is stainless steel?

Stainless steel is found in everything from building structures and cars to sinks and knives. It’s easy to see why it has so many uses. Stainless steel is hard and durable and has good resistance to corrosion – namely rust. It generally has a low nickel content, and for IKEA products we mainly use stainless steel that’s nickel-free. Like many other metals, it can be recycled again and again to become new, hardwearing things – without losing its valuable properties.
