just okGeoffreyIt is labelled spring-loaded, but it isn’t. It is extendable. I secured the end brackets with silicone.2
Drops once curtain attachedAleksandraIn general, I’m quite satisfied or reasonably satisfied with Ikea products. Frustratingly, this curtain rod is pretty useless to use as is once you add the curtain and curtain liner to it. Immediately drops once any weight added to it. I adjusted it as noted in the instructions, but this truly doesn’t meet its intended requirements. I’ve assembled Ikea beds, chest of drawers, bookcases, many Ikea products. This should be easy. It shouldn’t be this hard to get a sturdy shower curtain rod in Australia, it’s not just Ikea.1
Great ideaRhondaProduct is great, works well5

Falls down easilyRachelI have installed this with maximum pressure and tightness. It requires the smallest tug from the curtain to come down on my head. I love IKEA but this is a wasted purchase.1
Perfect shower curtain rodEmmaThis is a great tension shower rod however would be 5 stars if it included some small adhesive supports to ensure it doesn’t fall down as I am using it to hang some baby clothes to drying it would make it more versitile4
Added above glass screen on shower over bathTrishThe shower splashed everywhere despite the glass partition. I added this rail above at ceiling height with a shower curtain and now my floor stays dry.5

Doesn't consistently stay in place.Anonymous reviewerEven when installed as per the instructions, the shower curtain rod repeatedly falls down.1
Sturdy curtain railChristieI bought 3 of these, one for the shower, and two for ikea curtains. I have a doorway that has no door so I have added a curtain and I use the other to hide my laundry. Would be fantastic for renters as they don’t leave a mark. Quite sturdy in that they can hold my ikea curtain and some items of clothing on hangers when I need to dry clothes inside. 5

A great product, I started using it for a shower curtain. Later, I bought three more and used them for the window curtains as well. No need for nails, screws, or other fixtures. Easy to Install.
