A fabulous cooktopRalphI've had this unit for a couple of weeks now and I couldn't be happier. I needed an 80cm cooktop to replace my gas unit, and the fact that this one has 5 cooking zones, plus the great price, made it worth the "risk" of buying from Ikea. And it's been great! The compliance sticker says "Made in Germany", so that's good to read. The touch controls are fantastic, with each cooking zone having it's own "slider" control to change heat settings - no need to select a zone and then hit + or - like you need to do on so many other brands. The Boost setting brings a big pot of water for pasta to a boil within minutes. The 4 burner zone on the left side is versatile - either 2+2, or 1+3, or all 4 together. Perfect for a large grill plate which covers all 4 and provides a huge, even-heat cooking zone. In short, I love it and can't recommend it enough.5

Great Value HobSamI had my BLIXTSNABB installed and it failed two days later, throwing an error code that neither Electrolux/AEG nor Ikea could correct.
Happily it was replaced immediately and the costs of the reinstallation by my electrician refunded to me.
The replacement has worked perfectly for about 5 months and it does a terrific job.
I thought I'd find the multi-zoning a bit awkward and redundant, but I find myself using the feature quite often, especially if I'm combining a small pan and a large one.
The hob is, of course, completely safe, trivially easy to keep clean and pretty quiet, only buzzing a little when it's drawing a lot of power. (Silicone steamer liners make perfect cooking mats, btw).
90cm hobs are on the expensive side, but the extra space is pretty much essential when you're trying to squeeze three pans onto the hob. Considering that the AEG equivalent 90cm model is currently going for ~$3000, I'd say this is extremely good value for money and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.5
Very good to use, quick and easy to cleanSarahGood choice5
Total cooking package BarbaraOnly had for a short time. After learning how to use would not go back to any other type of cooktop. Stylish, easy to clean and better still cheap to run compared to gas5
Smart and elegantSierraI absolutely love this cooktop. We upgraded our 9yo IKEA induction cooktop to this one and the size was exactly the same, meaning we didn’t need to make any changes to the cut out on our stone bench top.
This cooktop looks elegant with its beveled front and has so much functional space over the cooking surface.
I was worried about how the hot plate markings would standout at home. I haven’t noticed them half as much as I did instore.5
Easy to use and cooks evenly JeffreyAesthetically pleasing and easy to use.
Very reasonably priced 5
Very good. Just keep in mindOliverThe cooktop is very good. There are a couple of things to be aware of. First, the installation is not as straight forward and can cost as much as the cooktop itself. A licensed electrician needs to install it and might need to upgrade the power source for the cooktop. Once installed, it works really well. Next, only thing to remember is the cooktop has touch screen which sometimes do not recognise your finer if they are wet or oily.4
It’s greatTinaSick of cleaning my gas hob I decided to go with induction. For the price of this job I installed with an electrician and had to create a bigger opening all cheaper than buying anything else. I was worried about how good it was/is but am really happy with it. I probably didn’t need the upgraded hob but I got it on special so I did.
Overall really glad I bought this would thoroughly recommend5
Just a bit more thought and it would be 100%ChrisFabulous value but if the designers had added a segmented red led for each increment of the power selected (rather than just a number) per hot plate, increasing/decreasing the power selection would be that much easier then doing the mental calculations necessary to determine where power selection 3,5 or 8 is on the line graphic on the control panel. Having both numeric and graphic indication on the individual hot plate elements on the control panel would be a great step forward for user experience.4
AmazingCameronMost versatile hob available, can be split into so many zones, super boost mode looks FAntatsic5
BLIXTSNABB ReviewMarkElegant and powerful. Need more instructions for the variable cooking areas4
So far, So good!DiWe have been pleasantly surprised so far. Early days, but happy at present. Just as good as the previous far more expensive one we had.5
Fault E8TaniaHad my induction Blixtsnabb installed by an electrician. The hob came up with an E8 code. waiting to see what is going to be done. Something to do with the electronic board. Not happy!1
Great value and looks smartJaneLove my induction cooktop. Very efficient, looks great and easy to clean. As a person who has never used induction before, the only negative, is that it would be great if Ikea put out a video on how to use it. Still haven’t quite worked out how the flexizone works.5
Induction HobUrsGreat hob, works well and comes with 5 years warranty. Incredible value for money. German made.5
Induction stoveCyrilA great looking unit full of good features and space for a big fry up.
Easy to operate and clean, boils water really fast and great low temperature setting for keeping stuff warm.
Will be even better when we go solar.5
