Curtains with heading tape allow you to hang the curtain directly on the curtain rod using the rod pocket or tabs. You can also hinge the curtain onto a track rail using gliders and hooks.

Ok for Price but backing is grossMelissaThey are ok for the price, they do block sun, but I would not have purchased if I had seen them in person. The backing is pretty gross and looks like your using black garbage bags over your windows from the outside. Thankfully I don't have full length and I doubled them over and pinned. They are very polyester and I was too scared to use the iron-on hemming tape incase I left a melting mark. Overall they're fine but if you can afford better/white backed then spend the additional money. Colour is boring but ok. They hang very stiff and strange, and don't wave or gather nicely. Overall strange but effective enough.

Real block-out, lightweightCathyI was incredibly surprised at how well these worked. If they fit your window's dimensions, they are great value. The only light leakage is around the edges but I prefer that, otherwise I find it too dark. When you draw the curtains closed, the material drapes over/together well so you don't get a gap in the middle. The material is very lightweight (easy to pull open/close). The heading tape is also versatile for all types of curtain rod fittings (mine are pinch pleat hooks).

They do the job but nopeImogenThey do the job and block out light effectively but they look and feel incredibly cheap. The black backing on the pink is also quite ugly. They're also so thin and light that the slightest breeze has them blowing around terribly. Would not repurchase.

Lightweight block outElisaLightweight block out curtain with black nylon on the opposite side. It does the job but the black side is very bad to look at especially on the beige curtain, it obviously less evident on the dark blue one. Definitely something to be considered before buying it.
Ok for $20LaurenThe curtains are fine for $20 however turned up with tiny holes in a few spots which obviously was very apparent in the daylight. The black plastic on the other side also heated up a lot and made our house smell like plastic, didn’t suit our needs.
Black plastic with fabric veneerCatherineYes it's cheap. I didn't buy it for that reason. The dimensions with the extra wide panel is what I was after. I guess to achieve block out functionality, black lining was used, but I didnt realise it was black. It is going to heat up the room, with the sun on it. I am not even going to put it up. Its thin and nasty, reminding me of a bin bag. Sorry Ikea, your stuff is usually amazing, but this is not good.
