Product details

The chopping board collects meat and fruit juice in the milled groove and prevents it from spilling on to your worktop.

You can easily turn the chopping board and use both sides when you prepare food, because it has easy-to-grip slanted edges.

You can also use the chopping board as a serving tray for food such as cheese or cold cuts.

Can be placed over the bowl on BOHOLMEN, BREDSKÄR or FYNDIG sink to get an extra work surface for preparing food.

Made of bamboo, which is an easy-care, hardwearing natural material that is also gentle on your knives.

The weight provides a stable base for cutting.

VersatileBernardBought this board to use with both cutting as well as making dough. It is just big enough and thick enough, although being a softer material, the stacks and stacks of the product meant some of them are already knocked around, scratched and damaged, bit tough to consider buying new with already a worn-in used look..4

Bamboo: the right tool for the job

From slicing delicate parsley leaves to chopping carrots all of our APTITLIG chopping boards are made of fast-growing, long-lasting bamboo – a renewable material that offers a highly durable, nick-resistance surface.

Material

What is bamboo?

Strong, flexible and one of the world's fastest growing plants – bamboo has many uses that make it an excellent renewable material. It’s a type of grass and usually grows without the need for fertilizers or irrigation. After being harvested, it grows new shoots that are ready for harvesting after 4-6 years. At IKEA we use bamboo for items like furniture, bathroom decor, baskets and lamps – and we are constantly exploring more areas of use for this versatile material.
