Care
Wipe clean with a cloth dampened in a mild cleaner.
Wipe dry with a clean cloth.
For increased stability, re-tighten the screws about two weeks after assembly and when necessary.
Safety and compliance
We recommend you to fix the furniture to the wall with the enclosed safety fitting to prevent it from tipping over if a child climbs or hangs on it.This storage unit has been developed and tested for domestic use and meets the requirements for safety, durability and stability set forth in the following standard: EN 14749.

Compact but practicalErwinI bought this to have extra drawers in my walk-in. It is compact but the drawers are deep enough for a single layer of clothing. You can fit in so much. The unit is sturdy and drawers run smoothly. Highly recommended item!

I've had many ikea products before like Kallax, Billy Bookcase, Micke Draws and Kullen.
All fantastic quality and finish.
These alex draws are woeful in comparison and for $199!!!
Id expect this quality for under $100.
The draws do not line up correctly becuase of the factory fitted rails.
The rails themselves are stiff and do not slide nicely
The draws are flimsy and use plastic fastners instead of screws to hold them together - henc the films construction.
The floor of the draws is very very thin and will not support much weight at all before it bends and things in the draws fall out the back of the draw or the entire draw floor falls out

Material
What is particleboard?
Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look.
