Great, but assembly annoyingWesThis desk is fantastic - looks great and is solid with lots of storage. However.... I've put a lot of IKEA flat packs together before and this one was annoying. It never ends. The tricky bits are attaching the draws to the sliders, and then very tricky is attaching the table top to the Alex drawers. Two sets of drawers and the top was over three hours.

Hinge cringe humongousMaria-TeresaGood quality and lots of storage. Mostly easy to assemble, except for the door hinges that are a bit nonsensical and the instructions for this step were really confusing to me. I assemble most of the unit quickly, but the hinges were so annoying that I had to let it stay for some days. The main issue is that this piece of furniture is huge. The product page photos are misleading regarding the volume this unit occupies. My home office is a large room, and this still looks humongous and in disharmony with the rest of the space. I think it is great for a proper office or for a room furnished with items from the Alex range. The castors don't have a stop and they look a bit week for such a huge storage unit. Overall, great value for money, and I can store tons of stuff inside, adjust the inner shelf and move the unit with ease.
Office draws to sewing drawsTracyUsing these draws to hold my sewing needs next to my sewing table. Love the fact the top draws aren't as deep. Great for scissors and measuring tape etc. While the bigger lower draws are great to hold all the sewing threads, elastic and bigger sewing items.
Great desk additionJimThis is a well made and very useful set of office drawers. I matched it with castors and small containers to compartmentalise some of my drawers. Throw in a feed of meatballs.... perfect!

What is particleboard?
