This sofa has an effortless stylishness and straightforward exterior with a well-tailored soft cover and comfortable inner pocket springs. The slim legs reinforce the tranquil and airy look.

We’ve made ÄPPLARYD sofa super comfy with soft covers and puffy cushions together with pocket springs that follow your body and support diverse positions – from sitting upright to lying down and relaxing.

Comes in different sizes and shapes to suit both small and large spaces.

Choose your ÄPPLARYD with a cover you like. Soft velvet Djuparp in single-toned deep dark blue or rusty reddish brown, or the two-toned grey cotton blend of Lejde with a clear texture and deep colour.

  • To keep your sofa looking good, you should regularly flatten out creases and wrinkles with your hand.

    The velvet reflects light in a characteristic way which may make the colour appear as if it changes.

    Press marks that may appear on the velvet usually disappear after some time. With your hand, you can gently stroke in the direction of the pile or use a clothes brush. You can also use the vacuum cleaner with the soft nozzle.

    Small fibres may appear on velvet. It happens naturally and they disappear over time and can also be removed with a garment roll.

    Wet marks should always be dried off as soon as possible to stop moisture penetration.

    Remove dust with a lint remover.

    Light stains can be removed with a sponge damped in water or a mild soapy solution.

    To make sure that velvet maintains its look and feel, it needs to be cared for regularly according to the care instructions included with the product.

  • This cover's ability to resist abrasion has been tested to handle 25,000 cycles. A cover that withstands 15,000 cycles or more is suitable for furniture that should withstand everyday use in the home.The cover has a lightfastness level of 5 (the ability to resist colour fading) on a scale of 1 to 8. According to industry standards, a lightfastness level of 4 or higher is suitable for home use.This seating furniture is tested and complies with relevant strength and durability standards. The tests simulate typical usage of the product and are based on use by persons weighing up to 110 kg.

Ikea support clearly rejected the request to replace as they consider it as general wear and tear but who knew it will wear so quickly. Terrible choice of fabric by a the design team. Definite not suitable for daily use.2
