IKEA Australia kickstarts their year-long focus to bring back the joy of cooking and eating!

Family-friendly activities and events at IKEA stores across the country this long weekend
According to the most recent IKEA Life At Home Report, 55% of Australians say a home cooked meal feels healthier than eating out, and 45% cook at home to save money, with both figures significantly higher than the global average. 34% of Australians report increasing their cooking at home compared to the same time last year.

Aleksandr Moshkalev, Country Selling Manager, IKEA Australia said: “We’re excited to launch our year-long focus on cooking and eating at IKEA – it's all about bringing people together, inspiring new kitchen adventures, and making every meal a special occasion. At IKEA, we believe that the kitchen is the heart of the home—a place where memories are made, cultures are shared, and sustainability starts with everyday choices.”
“For over 80 years, we’ve studied life at home, and we know that when people feel good in their kitchens, they cook more. They gather more. They share more. That’s why this year, IKEA is on a mission to make cooking and eating at home easier, more joyful, more sustainable, and more accessible - no matter the budget, space, or lifestyle.“
“With our focus on cooking and eating, we aim to support people across the entire journey – from storing and organising, to preparing and cooking, to setting and serving, eating together, and cleaning up. It’s about making every step simpler, more enjoyable, and truly meaningful.”
