Studio on the move: A flexible living area in an open plan apartment

Welcome to the hard-working heart of this family’s home: their ultra-flexible, configure-however-you-please living area.

Homework made easy

For two teens in the thick of high school, there’s always homework to be done. While they have their own desks, they like to mix things up, and often end up in the living area, sitting on one of their modular sofas or spread out on a storage bench with cushions. Floor lamps mean they always have a dedicated light source, and chargers are at hand to keep their devices up and running—no excuses!

Two grey-green metal REJSA boxes on a white shelf, holding small notebooks, cables and a polaroid photograph.

A personal collection

A practical, storage-centric home where the living area still feels inviting. Soft textiles and warm accents of green do the trick, and the gallery wall of art and photographs adds a personal touch.

You don’t need to have less stuff to create an organised living area—you just need to find a dedicated home for all your belongings.

Oh so cosy

Load up a tray with mugs of hot chocolate and bowls of snacks, and find yourself a soft spot to lounge. Ah, doesn’t that sound lovely?

From dinner time to games time

A board game or puzzle? Take your pick. This dining area can host the family’s next games tournament, and the tray table holds all the essential drinks and snacks—and it’s easy to carry to the kitchen when the fun and games are over.

What are we watching tonight?

While outdoor adventure tops this family’s list of favourite acivities, a movie night comes close second. Rugs and cushions create the cosiness, and the modular sofas make it easy to reconfigure the space for optimal viewing—and are just as easy to move back when it’s time to call it a night.
