Create sleep-friendly lighting in your bedroom

From dimmable lights to a digital device ban, it’s important to get the lighting in your bedroom feeling sleep-friendly. The light levels in your bedroom play a pretty important role in the length and quality of your sleep. We’ve got heaps of ideas to help you get a better night’s rest by harnessing the power of light! *

Shut the world out

Make your room extra dark at night by installing blackout curtains or blinds. This will help to create a sleep-inducing environment and minimise disturbance from outside sources of light, such as security lights or sunlight in the morning. If that’s not enough of a barrier maybe also try using an eye mask?

Switch off

The blue light emitted by our digital screens makes our brains think it’s time to be awake, so it’s important to keep technology on the down low in our bedrooms. Try staying clear of blue light the hour or so before you go to sleep.

Set the mood

Dimmable lights are a great way to get yourself ready for sleep. Even better are lights that you can dim and turn on and off from a distance using a remote control. As your eyelids begin to droop, simply press a button from the comfort of your bed and drift off into the land of nod. Too easy.

LED strip lighting can fit wherever you like

Get creative with LEDBERG. This LED strip lighting is used in lots of ways. Try it in drawers, behind the TV, by your favourite work of art or even under your bed! LEDs use up to 85% less energy and last 20 times longer than incandescent bulbs. Better for bills, better for the planet, and best for sleep-friendly lighting.

Light only where and when you need it most

You can do a lot with our smart lighting options. Get up or go to bed without disturbing with your partner, just turn lights on or off and dim them at a distance using a remote control and smart bulbs. Above the bed use adjustable wall spotlights so you can direct the light where you need it.
