A his and hers bedroom that perfectly suits both needs and styles
When Georgia and Shane moved into their new home in 2018, they were in need of a bedroom transformation that was a reflection of both their personalities and accommodated to each of their needs. They were one of the recipients of the 2019 IKEA + you campaign and were lucky enough to have the IKEA Perth team visit to give them the bedroom of their dreams.

Styling for different tastes
The IKEA team created a bedroom space that worked for both Georgia and Shane’s styles. A simple styling tip is to use different bedside tables. This allows for different design styles to be incorporated into the space whilst also creating a fun and vibrant bedroom.
A wardrobe that works for everyone
Georgia and Shane’s wardrobe has been perfectly divided in two, providing ample storage space for all their belongings. A combination of open and closed storage has been used to either keep items out of sight or to have favourite items on display, such as Georgia’s handbags. Products such as an insert of jewellery was used to keep her sunglass collection within easy reach, while pull-out storage bags were utilised at the bottom of the wardrobe to store seasonal items.
Working with integrated lighting
Incorporating integrated lighting into your wardrobe is key, particularly if you and your partner have different routines and wake-up times. As Shane gets ready for work in the early hours of the morning, he can grab what he needs from his wardrobe without having to turn on ceiling lights or lamps.
