Our removal and recycling service make it easier for you to live sustainably. We can swap your old mattress and dispose of it in a sustainable, environmentally friendly way at minimal cost to you.

How the service works

We offer two mattress removal options

When you shop at your local IKEA store:

1. Buy a mattress in-store, organise the delivery and mattress removal service at the same time.
2. Prepare your old mattress to be taken away in the bag provided in-store or by the service provider. As part of our COVID safe measures, the mattresses must be fully covered in the bag before being handled by the service provider. 
3. Our partners will remove and recycle your old mattress and await the arrival of your fresh new IKEA mattress (Please note the removal and delivery are carried out by different service providers

When you shop online:

1. Buy your new mattress on-line and then organise a mattress removal service directly with our trusted partners:
   ACT, VIC, QLD, WA & NSW. For our QLD customers please visit your local IKEA store to book your mattress removal service.
2. Prepare your old mattress to be taken away in the bag provided in-store or by the service provider. As part of our COVID safe measures, the mattresses must be fully covered in the bag before being handled by the service provider.
3. Our partners will remove and recycle your old mattress and await the arrival of your fresh new IKEA mattress (Please note the removal and delivery are carried out by different service providers).​​ 

Our furniture removal service costs $55 per mattress. Please contact your local IKEA store or call us for information.
