Return via parcel - Checklist
At IKEA, it’s OK to change your mind. Our IKEA 365-day return policy means you can try our products at home and easily return them for an exchange or refund.
To help ensure your return is accepted and processed smoothly, please check that it meets the following criteria.
1. Product size and weight
- Total parcel weight must be under 22 kg, and its dimensions (L + W + H combined) must not be more than 120 cm. Example: 50 cm × 40 cm × 30 cm will be accepted (total = 120 cm).
- Parcels exceeding these limits will be rejected at drop-off points.
2. Packaging requirements
- Please ensure your packaging protects the item during transport – use bubble wrap or padding where needed.
- Items must be returned in their original packaging, or if unavailable, in a cardboard box or padded envelope to ensure protection during transit.
- Loose items (e.g. unboxed cushions) will not be accepted.
- Items damaged due to insufficient packaging may not be eligible for a refund.
3. Product condition
- Items must be returned in an acceptable condition and free from damage.
- Broken or damaged products will be rejected or only partially refunded.
- If your product arrived damaged, please submit a claim through your order history.
Frequently asked questions
Where can I get my return label?
You can find this in the email sent from TGE after you submit the return form. If you can't print at home, our transport provider can print it for you.
Where can I drop off my parcel?
TGE have a range of drop-off locations. Information about drop-off locations can be found in the email sent by TGE.
What do I do with my return label?
Attach it securely to your parcel. Avoid placing multiple labels on the parcel, as this may delay your refund.
How long do I have?
Please drop off your parcel at a drop-off location within 14 days of submitting your return form online.
What happens next?
TGE will deliver your return to an IKEA store where it is assessed and then a refund is issued if applicable.
Why was my parcel not accepted at the drop-off location?
Please review the above criteria as parcels outside of these conditions will be rejected at the drop-off location. Large furniture and oversized items must be returned using our Truck or In-store options.
