IKEA recalls SLADDA bicycle
IKEA recalls SLADDA bicycle due to risk of injury if the drive belt snaps
Article No: 80339766, 40339768
Defect: IKEA has been informed and advised by the component supplier to recall the SLADDA bicycle, due to safety issues with the drive belt.
Hazard: The drive belt can snap suddenly, which in turn can lead to falls. For this reason IKEA recalls all SLADDA bicycles and urges customers to stop using the bicycle. IKEA has received eleven reports of such incidents, with two minor injuries.
What to do: Customers that have a SLADDA bicycle are urged to stop using it and to return it to any IKEA store for a full refund. Accessories specifically designed to fit with SLADDA will also be refunded. Proof of purchase/receipt is not required.
