How do I prevent my sink from rusting?

Rust stains can occur over time if you have a stainless steel sink and is caused by the presence of dissolved iron in your water supply. It can be prevented with proper maintenance.

 

Rust stains can occur in your stainless steel sink when there is the presence of dissolved iron in your water supply. It can be prevented with proper maintanence and should be removed as soon as possible with proper care.

We advise to wipe dry with a clean cloth and always wipe and rub the sink along the steel grain when cleaning. If necessary, wipe clean with a soft cloth dampened in water and a mild non-abrasive washing-up detergent or soap.

Do not use scouring-powder, steel wool, hard or sharp tools which can scratch the stainless steel surface.
