Great storageJaneI bought this bed for my daughter to store toys and games in the drawers. Its large drawers are for storing away stuff so the room looks tidy. I liked it so much I bought one for the spare room and will keep blankets and linen in the drawers5
A really useful base which is well engineered.MarkMy existing inner-spring mattress (not an Ikea mattress) fits well into this Brimnes base. The drawers provide generous storage, each rated to 16 kg of contents. There are two heights for the mattress's supports (e.g. slats), so check the thickness of your mattress before starting on the brackets and support pins.
The base is well engineered, so study the diagrams and don't rush the assembly or force parts together. Assembly took me most of a day. I suggest using a non-marking (white) mallet instead of the recommended hammer to knock the plugs etc in. When fitting an assembled drawer, check the drawer's wheels are on top of the base's rail on each side, not below the rail. (I think this was the problem with the display unit in store!) If a drawer is not level or does not easily slide in, check again!
The finished bed base is excellent and such good value.5

watch a youtube tutorial!Slenits definitely a challenge took me around 10 hours to build it feels like, the manual confused me so much especially because if you miss out on one detail it can ruin the whole thing. definitely watch a youtube tutorial helped me so much. bed is super sturdy JUST what i needed. the storage is so big, did run into one issue one incorrect piece and screws not fitting on one section but they didnt effect it much at all. the price is definitely worth for what it is. bed is also easy to de assemble if needing to move house only need to de assemble around 5 parts. aslong as the drawers arent in the bed its pretty light to move around if needing to rearrange aswell.4
Good simple bed with heaps of storageMattA really simple bed with heaps of storage. Drawers are a great size and make it a great bed for a room with limited storage. Good price and not too hard to assemble. I’d recommend going for the lower mattress setting, started on the high one and it was far too high and had to reassemble. 5
Extra storageTerenaVery happy with this bed. We live in a one bedroom unit with few cupboards so the draws in the bed are so handy for bedding, suitcases etc. I also like that there isn’t a bed head as the ceiling is on the low side, the bed would have looked too big for the space.5
