Works but building it was hellNoahDesk looks good and works fine once built, but IKEA somehow managed to make a simple desk unnecessarily complicated to assemble. It honestly felt intentional, like they were adding complexity for the sake of it rather than because the design required it. The build starts with the drawer, and I’ve never seen a drawer require balancing interlocking parts just to put it together. It could have simply been two side panels and a front panel screwed together. Instead, IKEA has you interlock the bottom and back panels and then hammer in plastic pegs rather than use screws. It added absolutely no functional benefit. The rest of the build continues this trend, with screws placed between panels in positions that require you to contort either your hand or screwdriver unless you own a micro screwdriver. The finished product is a perfectly functional desk, but the assembly process felt like IKEA punishing me for not being able to afford a better brand.

False advertisingAnnaI bought this desk to go with the drawer unit to create a longer workspace for two computer monitors. The website falsely advises this desk goes with the drawer units as they are the same height. This is incorrect, the desk is about half to 3/4 inches taller than the drawers. because of this i cannot effectively use the surface of the drawers for my computer set up due to one of the monitors overhanging and becoming lopsided and on a lean. I have to squash everything onto the desk making it very cramped and not ergonomical as there is not enough room for my set up.
