light and economicalPauleasy to assemble nice and light fits into the location that we wanted it to. I highly recommend it.5
Worst quality control everCindyEveryone has already said it. All holes DO NOT align. Next to impossible to put together. One even has a hole drilled right on the edge of a board, i. e. the hole has clipped the edge and obviously would not align with anything! Very disappointed!! 1
Knagglig boxSusanneit might be good, but I could put it together, as the holes were in a wrong place, so I had to bring it back. the size would have been perfect.1
BoxKasieHappy with item.5
BoxKasieVery happy with the box.5
Impossible to assemble without electric screwdriverTainaTried with a normal screwdriver, couldn’t assemble it.2
Bring back the older design!SherryAdding the same 1 star review like everyone else said hoping that Ikea take an action and fix the quality or at least bring back the older design.
Very difficult to put together.
Holes missing.
Existing holes not lined up.
Screws can't go deep enough. Boxes end up crooked, with some screws still slightly hanging out. Have to screw it, then drill it then hammer it.
Not to mention you have to assemble each small panel, compared to the older design the 2 panels were already assembled.1
Solid and usefulAlexandraWhat more can I say, It's a sturdy wooden box that works as expected. I believe it could be a little cheaper for what it is.4
Mine was a bit wonky but it’s fine KaiThe drilled holes were a bit wonky? The distance between the two holes was right, but one was close to the corner and the other seemed normal.
So when assembled and screwed together some of the side panels weren’t perfectly flat.
Functionally not an issue though because when screwed together everything felt solid, it’s still functional for storage.
Other than that the pine was a little on the softer side to what I expect from pine wood. Again not an issue for the price.
4/5. Happy to buy biodegradable wood storage instead of hard plastic.4
Very Difficult RachelLike others said these are very difficult to put together. Holes missing. Existing holes not lined up. Screws can't go deep enough. I had some other screws I could use instead but my boxes are still crooked, with some screws still slightly hanging out. It's probably a hazard but I'm the only one using them. Wonder if I can swap them for ones on display or already built. I'd buy more as they look nice but they aren't worth the headache. 1
Great Pantry StorageKayeLove these wooden crates, so nice not only having plastic options5
Very disappointing KerryThe crate is fine once assembled, but I’ve never had a more difficult to assemble IKEA product. As other reviewers have said, the big screws are too long and the holes aren’t in the right place, making it impossible to screw them in the whole way. 3
Shockingly poor qualityAgniveshThis is hands down one of the worst IKEA products I’ve bought. The holes are completely misaligned, making assembly a nightmare. To make matters worse, the screws are absolute junk, the heads stripped instantly despite using the right tools and extreme care.
This level of quality is unacceptable. IKEA is supposed to be reliable, but this feels cheap, rushed, and poorly manufactured. Where is the quality control? Totally frustrating and a complete waste of time and money.3
Worst box ever!GeoffPoor built quality, cracked when drilling screw in. Wasn’t supplied with enough screws and difficult to assemble 1
EXTREMELY poor quality controlJoWe bought 2 of the 12 we require to test them out. NONE of the holes on the base line up properly. Once the long sides are attached with the misaligned holes, the short sides don't attach properly because of the base overhang produced from screwing into holes that are completely not where they are meant to be. Thought maybe it was just one, but both are like this. The most poorly produced item I've ever purchased from IKEA!!!1
Great Storage BoxBronwynGreat little storage box. Looks good & fitted perfectly on my pantry shelf.5
Worst product yetAnonymousCan't assemble it as the screws don't go in. There's even a side where the holes for the screws aren't even drilled, just a light indent. Useless and super disappointed, especially as I've bought two.1
Poor quality and difficult to assembleAndrewI normally have no problem assembling Ikea products but this crate was impossible to put together. The guide holes for the base didn't line up and the guide holes for the slats were virtually non existent. I couldn't screw it together by hand and when I attempted to use an electric drill at slow speed, the wood split. I purchased 5 of these but am not risking attempting to put together any of the others. Unfortunately I live in regional Victoria and will have to make a special trip to Melbourne in order to return them for a refund. I expected better of an Ikea product.1
very difficult to makeAlishaquality of product is great however they come as a flat pack and to make these crates it is very difficult.1
Not an easy box to assemble manuallyMiyokoI tried to assemble this box manually and it was the worst experience ever with IKEA items. 2 of 4 large screws for the bottom part didn't go in fully. And small screws just didn't go in. I chose to use a fast drying wood glue instead. Otherwise I recommend using electric screwdriver. I'm happy how it looks and does the job I wanted. Pine smells nice.2
