What are gazebos and pergolas used for? 

Gazebos and pergolas are freestanding, open garden structures used for outdoor entertainment and protection from the elements. Their function is to portion off a piece of your garden or patio to create the feeling of a room outdoors. Also, they help make your garden look absolutely lovely.   

Where can a gazebo be placed? 

A gazebo can be placed pretty much anywhere in your outside space. Assemble it on your patio to add some sun protection to your outdoor dining set. Place it in the grass in your backyard for a temporary summer hangout spot. Or why not both? 

One popular way to use a gazebo is to have it frame a dinner area or a sofa corner. These are places where we tend to spend a lot of time. So, it’s nice to have some cover against the sun or a sudden splash of rain.  

Another good option is to place your gazebo over a hot tub. If the gazebo is equipped with walls you can enjoy a relaxing bathing session without worrying about neighbours passing by.  

Finally, our SOLIG gazebo is a smaller version that’s perfect if you have limited space. The roof and walls create a cosy little space where you can relax in the open while still being protected.  

Are gazebos or pergolas waterproof?

Our gazebos can protect you from a sudden spurt of light rain. But if you're expecting heavy rain, our recommendation is to remove the fabric from the frame. This way, you avoid your gazebo being damaged.  

Additionally, make sure to remove the fabric from the gazebo when it’s windy. Strong winds can tear the fabric off or break the gazebo.
