Sharp and Borderline DangerousBrianneThe top of the wood is SHARP. My 5 year tripped and scraped his back all the way down. I was confused because there didn't appear to have any sharp bits sticking out and then I felt the edge of one side of the wood top and one side was extremely sharp do to the way it was cut. We had to move it out of our family room immediately. It's pretty light and flimsy and it's definitely one of the worse pieces we've bought. We used it less than a day before we had to banish it. 1

Great coffe tableVeronicaThis purchase was for my son's new apartment. It was easy to assemble and it it's sturdy and looks great in his living room. He also purchased the matching TV stand. He's really happy with this piece. Just keep in mind that the top is essentially raw wood. So you either make sure to use coasters or apply some type of sealer to it to minimize damage.5

Decent coffee table for under 100 bucksMikeIts a decent coffee table for under 100 bucks. I purchased it to replace a more expensive coffee table that was damaged when I moved. It was a little smaller than I thought it would be, probably only good for 2 people sitting on a sofa to put coffee/drinks on and some magazines on the bottom.
There are some minor flaws like the finish is rubbed off on the wood table edge in one place, and one side of the wood table had a rough spot that looked touched up from the factory but not really sanded down well. I just put that side down so it doesn't show. I will just get a touch up marker to fix the edge where the finish was rubbed off.
I live more than 100 miles from the closest Ikea so returning it is a hassle, so returning it for these 2 minor flaws doesn't seem worth it.
Assembly was pretty easy, except there are no holes for the screws in the wood top. I had to drill some pilot holes into the wood to keep the screws going in straight.4

It's darker than shown in the picturesXuThe design is neat and classic. The size is good as expected. This is the easiest piece to assemble of ikea that I ever bought.
However, the color is too dark. It would be good if there is a lighter color choice. Also, it's easy to over screw the six screws that connect the tabletop and the metal part, then the screws will become very loose because the tabletop material is not solid enough.3
