Best Book Shelf Thus FarJessicaThis is a very simple, very effective book shelve without taking up too much space. We have purchased 3 of these shelves and have no issues with them at all ! Will definitely purchase another in the near future as our book collection grows.5
Not worth the extreme rise in price!LauraThis was a great buy when it was $25. There's no way it's worth $40, though. I was hoping to buy more but not at this price. You can better shelves at other stores for that price.2
Very good EmeteriaGood size and more space 5
WOW!AltheaTALK ABOUT A PRICE HIKE!!!! So, Very Disappointed! $24 bucks to 40$ Are you kidding me? Not worth 40. Well worth the 24 or even maybe to 30. But, a 16 dollar hike is crazy. Come on, its a wall paper wrapped compressed wood.
I have 6 of these shelves and WAS, going to buy more for another room. Not now. 3
Great BookshelfPattiThis is a really nice bookshelf. It was easy to assemble and does not look cheap whatsoever. It's the perfect height and a great addition to our spare room.5
Inexpensive and easySooThe look of this shelf was far better than expected. It was easy to put together and I liked the first one so much that I'm going to grab a 2nd one. It was easy to assemble and works great in the smaller space that I have in my office. It's one of those pieces that from a far no one can tell it's of lower quality materials for the price this is a great piece! 5
Book RackEthelVery sturdy, easy to assemble. I'm currently using this as a pot rack and plate storage as my kitchen is on the smaller side.5
Great valueAnonymousThis book case is awesome. And a great price. 5
Excellent ValueChristopherNice and sturdy, has lasted through a move, no doubt it'll last through the next, and longer.5
Sleek & Fashionable 4 being Cheaply made AltheaRemember first, that this is compressed wood with a thin paper layer over it...so ONLY use a slightly damp cloth to clean it off. DO NOT, drawn it in furniture polish and wipe because if there is a hole it will quickly absorb the liquid and buckle up. Now, with that said, this is easy to put together, just pay attention to have the paper line, on the inside of all the pieces of wood. Ide suggest painting the silver screw caps with acrylic paint to have it blend in. IKEA, YOU REALLY SHOULD GIVE US THE END CAP COVERS LIKE YOU USED TO DO!!!
Be careful no to put something that weighs to much in the center of shelf so it doesnt bow down under pressure.
My only complaint really about this, is that the joining bottom part, should actually be on the upper part, because the weight can make it split were its joined together if you have to much weight on the whole thing. 1 out of 4 split and I just flipped the whole thing upside down so I could still use it. 5
Some shelves were damaged, but it doesn't show, absolutely in love!JillianSome of the shelves were damaged in the back side, so I just flipped them over so the damage doesn't show. I built this within an hour, SUPER easy and holds all my books. I am in LOVE!4
Perfect for the price PatriciaI had a very narrow space and needed a shelf. This worked perfectly. It’s easy to assemble and looks nice in the room. The price was right.
The downside is the material used for the back is a bit cheap and of course the screws show but I was able to disguise them a bit with marker. Remember when IKEA gave plugs to hide the assembly? That was nice. 4
Perfect, inside closet bookcaseMichaelThe Laiva bookcase fits perfectly inside a standard coat closet that adjoins a bedroom converted into an office space. The bookcase is well suited to hold reference manuals and makes for easy access. In this application especially important to ensure Laiva is fastened securely to the wall. It's easy to do with proper fasteners. All around, a well made product, easy to assemble with many different use cases.5
So FlimsyRyWorse than the cheapest dropship furniture. Where the sides join they don't even line up correctly. Finish chipped and scratched immediately. I don't even trust it to hold the weight of a tenth of the books there's space for. Going in the trash 2
Love the shelves!ChelseaBuilding the shelf wasn’t hard. It looks great for the price and holds all of my collectibles and books. 5
I'm dissapointedColbyI bought these for my room and they work fine but the feet arent even close to being even so it wobbles bad. The package also arrived with some significant damage to the shelves. :(4
Bookshelf MaryThis piece worked perfectly for its intended use. 5
Great shelvesAnonymous reviewerI've bought 4 of these over the years and will probably buy more. You won't find another shelf that looks this nice for this price. I've used it in the kitchen for dry goods (including heavy items on the bottom shelves), in my office for plants and in the bedroom for clothes.
P.S. Installation is super easy.5
Great shelvesAnonymous reviewerThey look great and function fine as shelves. The weight limit (15kg) is accurate so don't push it; I'm able to place a handful of textbooks and larger tomes per shelf but it's best not to fill each shelf with heavy books (destabilizes the base and also causes damage to the holes for the screws). smaller and lighter books/items are best for safety. 5
Love them!AlayashaAwesome stands for my living room. I get lots of compliments. 5
