Who doesn’t love HEAT!IsabelleI bought these 30 years ago & now buying again - super!5
Perfect price pointAngelaThese cork heat pads are perfect for so many things. Under plant pots, hot cooking pots or even as coasters in a pinch. Great quality and a good price.5
Great deal!StephanieThese are so lightweight, but protect tables/countertops from heat very well. We bought these to replace a couple that we have had for over 15 yrs… that are finally showing some wear and tear. Those ones are going to stay in our camping bin, as they still work well, just have a few stains and a little bit of chipping on the edges.5
Heat padsPennyGreat product to have when entertaining and placing hot food on dining room table.5
We use them every dayBarbaraVery versatile trivets. And excellent insulation between the hot pots and the table surface.5
Cork is nice but diameter is smallAnastasiaReally like these and have been using for many years. Bought replacement and found them now smaller. Doesn't seem as stable with the big pots.3
Stain too easily and they do break over timeDaisyOk quality for the price3
Just RightSarahThese do what they should. They're well-made and just the right thickness.5
Great buyShaleneLove the simplicity, and ease of storing. They work great.5
Smooth texture, serves its purposeSarahSmooth texture and hasn't crumbled like some other brands. It fulfills its purpose.4
You won’t be disappointed Anonymous reviewerWe bought 3 and after using them for awhile, couldn’t wait to buy three more. They look good stacked in any decor, are easy to clean and hard to get dirty. We spread them out on our countertops and set individual glass containers on them while doing meal prep. They’re also great for using in the fridge if you don’t want to scratch your glass trays. When we have a buffet, they are excellent to use under serving bowls as you don’t really notice them due to their perfect size.5
Simple and Usefull.DawnGreat for all over the home. Especially in the kitchen and underneath planters.5
Work so well.JanSo awesome, have been using for years, just needed some new ones for our lake home.👏4
Hot pads for potsPeggyvery easy to clean if you have to, just wipe them clean with a damp cloth. Work well.5
Convenient and very handy to have in a kitchen.RuthSo glad I have been upon these at IKEA because these cork trivets can be used in so many ways. Whenever I am serving extremely hot pasta in a bowl, I like to place one of these cork rivets between the pasta bowl and our dinner plates. This is to ensure that the bowl doesn’t move around on the plate and it is safely secure on the plate because of this cork trivet. I would not recommend using these cork trivets for items coming directly out of the oven, especially if the oven was set at 400° or higher. I personally prefer using these cork trivets for every day things like Placing a large perspiring pitcher on the cork trivet instead of simply placing it on the kitchen counter. Or temporarily setting down my coffee pot on the cork trivet. Using these cork trivets to protect my coffee table when placing items on it. There are countless uses for these light, cork trivets throughout my home. I now reach for one throughout the day. Just Another great IKEA addition to my kitchen.5
Love itLorraineThese are very usefull5
Crumbles + spreads cork residue when wipingLydiaI've owned these trivets before, but for the ones i bought this time, when I use a damp IKEA cloth to wipe them the cork crumbles and leaves cork residues all over the cloth + table + floor. All 3 of the round trivets are flaking cork pieces and dust all over the place. How am I supposed to clean them? I'm even using an IKEA cloth to do it. I can no longer use the trivets because i'm not going to risk cork residue all over the cleaning cloth, table, floor, and in my food. It's been over 90 days, and I've threw away the packaging when i opened it because I didn't expect an issue. The USA website says exchanges are permitted, but I see nothing on the IKEA Canada website about exchanges if the product is defective. Why is this the case??? :(1
Heat TrivetIgorI like this heat trivet. The cork feels sturdy. I have bought this before years ago and it is still intact. Highly recommended.5
Hot padsCatherineUse them all the time. Work great. Would like them to be a little bigger or available in multiple sizes. 4

Material

What is cork?

Cork comes from cork oak bark which is carefully cut from the tree’s trunk. It then takes about nine years until the tree forms new bark that can be harvested. Since a cork oak can live to be aged 150-200, each one produces a lot of cork during its lifetime. Cork has several good qualities as a material: it’s lightweight, flexible, waterproof and naturally resists fire. The cork we use in furniture and accessories is made from cork waste that’s compressed into larger pieces.
