Luröy Queen FrameZoeI’ve had this bed longer than I can remember. It’s moved to 4 houses and across Canada from Edmonton to Quebec. I lost my instructions on how to assemble it so thank Goodness I could look it up on line.
I’ve often thought of painting or staining it but I can’t bring myself to cover the natural wood!5
Not good for a double size bedLucieDoes not fit properly on a double bed size and keeps getting off the edges it sits on so the mattress keeps falling into the drawer space. I had an older version of this bed with slats made for a double bed size and never had any issues. This new standard size does not work at all1
Strong and durableManishaIt might look flimsy but this slatted bed base is strong and durable. If u want extra support - u can try using 2 (which is what i did)5
Disappointed BrivianI hate that it’s not flat! The curve makes it hard to sleep comfortably. I wouldn’t recommend 1
SHORTENED SLATSElenaWriggle and make noise now. Old slats were tight and had an arch to support weight.
Look carefully at the photos see gap and how flat they sit now...no good.1
It’s okayHilaryRead lots of reviews about the slats falling. So when I put them on my bed, I added some zip ties to hold them in place to prevent that from happening because they would absolutely fall if I hadn’t. Seems to hold them in place, but I shouldn’t have to do that. Come on IKEA - figure it out!3

Poor designRichardBought for a full size bed. Should have been designed as a SINGLE slat for the width of the box frame, NOT two pieces. The two sections shift and slip off the edge of the frame and have to be continually readjusted. A very poor design. It was almost impossible to ascertain this defect from the description and the photos of the product.1
Worse quality and wrong sizeShararehI had 1 10 years ago and was way better than this one which I got for my son and this slate falls down almost every night and scares him during the mid night. I’m so disappointed .1
Worst Bed Slats Ever!HoudaThese are the worst bed slates ever. If you want upper back ache and shoulder pain after every sleep, make sure to purchase these bed slats. Im suffering because of them… not recommended at alllllll1
Falls down every nightMahmudulThese bases are not stable and falls down almost every night. Low quality build and with design issues.1
Bed base fit the Brimnes perfectlySusanWe completed three (3) Brimnes beds with slated bed bases. It all fit together well and works as expected.5
Lurch slatted bed baseRosemarieThis was a replacement for the set used for the past 14 years which was getting a little “squeaky”.5
Very little woodStevenSpaces between the wood slats are quite large and some mattress companies will void the warranty if the gap is too large. 20 years ago ikea made better slats that were bigger and flat. FYI a mattress does not need to breathe so the gap between the slats should be smaller.1
Caves mattress inAmandaI have gone through multiple mattresses in the past few years and was always told a slatted bed base was fine so did not question it. I have finally realized that most of my issue has been these slats! They are so thin and flimsy and because they are curved and dip in the middle of a queen base, they have been likely what has been causing me so much pain, anguish and stress for literal YEARS. I wish Ikea still had sultan slats or ANY slats that are actually strong and FLAT. These are essentially poorly shaped twigs that soften your mattress and become concave when you lie on them, even as a very light woman who sleeps alone. I even bought an extra set and tried doubling up the slats- still a nightmare. I finally dragged my most recent, high quality brand new mattress that has already been dipping after less than 3 months to the floor and lo and behild- no more dips. I'm so disappointed in the decline of quality from Ikea and this is just one more reason to look elsewhere.1
Fall down weeklyKristenNot a great set up my daughters mattress fall through regularly 1
Weighty but it worksDanaWe wound up needing 2 people for this part because the Luroy for Queen size is a bit heavy and long, while the in-bed components for it were just narrow enough that it kept sliding down into the storage drawers when trying to affix it with 1 person. Maybe someone who's better at physics can do it alone lol. It's laminated and curved like an archery bow which should last a long time. We added a boxspring for extra height and airflow which is working well too.5
Terrible Options for Quuen SizeTrevorProduct is too short for its application and Constantly falls off. What happened to that Great Company we could trust1
LUROY SLATS DON'T STAY IN ONE PLACEAnonymous reviewerOur bought an IKEA bed and LUROY slats 001.602. 15 for the guest bedroom for us to use whenever visiting him. The slats have a major problem--the make noise and keep falling on the ground.
Result; We thought the squeaking is due to poor mattress height. This time bought an expensive SleepCountry mattress--with the result the situation is no better. He is poorer by a CAD 1,000 and we don't get proper sleep. Can we return the bed and the slats? I think sleeping on the floor and SleepCountry Mattress would serve us better.
It's a pity that we are a family of IKEA product lovers across continents but this one is a real sad buy. The customer reviews across months and years tell us that we aren't the only one to have this unique problem. And the resolution is not in sight. A product recall would be in order.1
it holds up to our weight of 220kgAbbythis was installed in our brimnes bed frame and both works well together.5
