The reason it loses a star is that it has a VERY strong hay smell when you first buy it - I had to air my car out because I had bought a few and every time I got into my car for a few days after purchasing and transporting these home I felt like I was on a farm.4

Looks good but the smell is unbearable.GailSo disappointed in this product. It looks good, is very sturdy but smells atrocious!! I have aired them outside for the past 2 or 3 weeks but to no avail. Material

What is sedge (or seagrass)?

Sedge (or seagrass) grows naturally in South-East Asian coastal areas. For our products, we mainly use cultivated sedge from field areas that have previously been flooded by the sea, making them unsuitable for rice cultivation. But sedge grows well in salty soils and even helps cleanse them. After harvest, the plant is left to dry in the sun making it a hardwearing fibre ideal for weaving or braiding products with beautiful colour variations, like baskets and mats.
