Lasted less than 2 years - Deforms over timeNorlieSeemed like the perfect carpet, but slowly stretches in parts to form notable unsightly lumps and trip hazards, perhaps due to kids playing a bit rough in the room, but we don't know for sure. We noticed the damage in less than one year and it just became worse over time. The rug became totally worthless in les than 2 years. The carpet surface wears just fine and still looks like new, but won't lay flat because the underside matting that is part of the carpet seems to be stretching unevenly. We used the STOPP FILT anti-slip rug underlay as recommended, from day one, but it is of low quality and very thin and stretches. When we pulled the carpet back we noticed the underlay stretched in parts. The flooring it was adhered to was slightly textured, very clean and brand new. So it doesn't appear that we could have done anything to prevent the damage from occurring. Very disappointing and not a bargain. Buy a better quality product from another manufacturer if you want it to last.
Not high pileMichaellabeled as high pile which is misleading. I ordered it online based on the description but this is definitely low pile.
Smelly rugVloraWe ordered a rug from Ikea (online) and we’ve had it unrolled and on the floor now for a month and it’s still noticeably off-gassing and has a very strong chemical smell. Very sad that you can’t spend more than a few minutes in the room. We’re airing it out every single day now, vacuuming it and using carpet cleaner nothing seems to work.

Nice balance between quality and affordabilityNorlieMeets our needs. Only real complaint is that it came wound so tight that we had problems unpacking it without damaging the carpet. Also, it takes 3 days, with coaxing, to unwind the carpet until it lays flat and doesn’t curl up on the ends. Probably less time and effort in warmer months.
