BEWARE - Will ruin your hardwood floorsSaraThe adhesive sticks to your hardwood floor and then is impossible to remove without removing the finish on your floor. This product should come with a warning or not be sold!
Stopp Filt worksDavidDidn't know if I needed Stopp Filt below my rug. I decided to try it anyway. What a difference. A lot of rugs come rolled up, right? This one was also. With Stopp Filt I was able to roll my new IKEA rug out, straight onto the floor. It's not rolling up anywhere. 110% satisfied with both.
I wasn’t sure what toJessicaI wasn’t sure what to expect from this product but I was pleasantly surprised with how everything turned out. If you’re just looking for something to keep a rug in place I would recommend this. It’s super affordable and I much prefer it to those rubbery rug pads that still move around and sometimes leave residue on my floors.
RUINS WOOD FLOORS!!!KatherineDO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! Had this between an Ikea rug and a wood floor for two years. The sound of removing the pad from the wood floor was mortifying, and the sticky residue is impossible to remove. If we resort to chemical means to remove the sticky residue, I'm afraid we're going to ruin our hardwood floors. This product shouldn't be allowed to be sold!
Too Thin and StickyDanWas disappointed with this. It was awfully thin and just impossible to get it completely flat before laying the carpet over it. IKEA doesn't disappoint too often, but this one isn't a winner.
Impossible to unpack - keeps sticking to itselfNorlieVery tedious to use. This thing feels like felt combined with a waxy substance. It is super light weight you can almost see through it (like a sheet of paper). I can’t imagine a felt pad made any thinner. It was agonizing to unpack because it kept sticking to itself as we tried to unfold it. It took almost 30 minutes to stretch out. It also constantly felt as though it would tear apart if I worked too quickly. It takes at least 2 people to open the larger pad. It also moves when trying to place the somewhat heavy and large carpet over it, because though it sticks to itself it doesn’t stick to the floor. So, it bunches up while installing. Very tedious and frustrating experience.
The rug pads are anDonaThe rug pads are an absolute necessity for the rag rugs I have been weaving. They are held in place very well.
Good product WovinaI was surprised when I saw the package, as it wasn’t what I expected. However, was pleasantly surprised at how well it works.
AmazongLee-AnnI have tried numerous rug stops and this one is the only one that holds up to my dogs slides lol I bought a big one and folded in double to add some cushion.
Great gripSarahThis is such good stuff for putting under rugs all over the house. Easy to cut and leaves no marks on the floor. Needed for safety for an older relative and there is so much in the package I had leftovers for my own house.
It works!OlgaWill be again! Good price!
good productMarinasticks to the floor and holds rug nicely. also it is thin, so do not add thichkess to the rug
Great price!AngelikiThis is great, especially for the price. It keeps rugs in place and cuts easily with scissors to the desired size.
Works greatLesleyGentleman helped me find the product right away which was the first time ever visiting Ikea that an employee asked me if I needed help. The product is great for the price!
Not impressed LouiseThis was the worst rug pad I'd even seen. One side was so sticky I was concerned it would damage my hardwood floor.
Holds Well; Wrinkles Under RugKristyHolds rug in place well with no damage to wood and tile. It does wrinkles up under the rug over time.
Stopp filtKimberlyLove that the product does what it is was meant to do.
Rug backingAmyWorks great! Not padded at all.
Not RecommendedRachaelUnfortunately, these rug pads left an awful residue on our LVF flooring that we’re not even sure can be removed at this point. I don’t recommend purchasing this product.
Not worth itPattyBarely keeps any rug in place. I tried it on ceramic tile and it kept moving around.
