The fabric dims daylight entering the room and reduces glare. It gives a comfortable sense of privacy as people cannot see in. At night, silhouettes can be perceived from outside when the room is lit.
Can be used in all rooms and on all types of surfaces, even in damp areas such as bathrooms.
The strong polyester fibers hold colors well, are shrink-resistant and can be washed again and again.
Blinds reduce heat from the sun as well as heat loss from draughty windows. For best effect, mount the blind inside the window recess, or as close to the window as possible to prevent gaps.

Frustrated!KarenI purchased these for my primary bedroom a couple years ago and was very happy with them. So happy that i recently purchased more to install in guest bedroom room.
The blinds I just purchased for my guest room have turn out to be so frustrating. The magnets do not hold the folds in place! It seems like if they are touched in the slightest way, the blinds come tumbling down.
I am consistently refolding and putting hem back into place when I didn’t even want them lowered.
Both sets of blinds in each room are the exact same size.
Any suggestions?
Recommend for double hung windows, excellent all aroundJennifferGreat product at a moderate price. These are perfect for double hung windows to allow airflow but maintain privacy (vs using a normal curtain pulled to the side and exposing the rest of the window). These are light filtering; keeps the sun from beating down but still illuminates the room. I have these coupled with black out curtains for night use (street lights can be seen with these as they're light filtering). Also helps a bit with temperature regulation on a warm sunny day especially when used with a black out curtain. Beige is easy on the eyes vs white. I swapped out the original mounting rod for tension rods for a no-drill solution. Many different ways to raise the blinds depending on the time of day and whether there's a need for privacy or not. Currently unable to comment on durability at this time.
One of the best Ikea products, ever.MaryThese are the roman blinds I always wanted. On the wider forms, the magnets can be a little tricky, but once you do it a few times, it’s easier. I love the cordless, simple design. It’s clean and easy to use in a variety of spaces. Suggestions to Ikea to make these perfect — 1. Make a fully light-blocking option for areas where privacy is paramount. 2. Figure out a top-down solution. 3. Release a special color (once per year?) 4. More window sizes for beige, please.

white-blinds . . .M/M Edgar GI like the 'blinds' and were as usual, except there was no 'ability' to alter their length: before, or after purchase! I generally dislike the a-fixing/hanging of their 'mounting' is by 'screwing small Dia. Screws into thin Plastic'!

Great Basic Light Filtering ShadeStephanieI have these throughout my entire house and love them. You could potentially see through these at night if the light inside was bright or somebody was standing up close to your window (creepy) but we use them with curtains and just close curtains at night. They are perfect in the daytime. They give you privacy during the day but you still get good light through them. I would recommend.

Simple roman shadeAarynLove this roman shade. Very well made. It is nice that it can be hung as is or can be placed on a curtain rod. My only wish was that it had more magnetic strips to add extra folds when the shade is up. Very siple yet very pretty and easy to install.
Great Light Filtering ShadeStephanieI have these in almost every window in my house and we love them. Super easy to install with minimal markings on window trim. Not 100% private at night but we also have drapes. They are reasonably private during the day and still let in lots of natural filtered light. They make our rooms glow during the day.
Easy Roman ShadesRebeccaI live in a nearly 100 year old house with very wonky and weird window casings that do not fit traditional blinds without a gap. I bought this shade to cover a window in the bathroom and it has been great (I've had it installed for over a year without incident or wear).
I unscrewed the top metal hooks, slid out the plastic top support, and slid in a metal tension rod to hold these up. It worked like a charm. Highly recommend. Will be purchasing again for other rooms of my house.
Oh SNAP! The plastic ribs break! JohnAs other reviews mention, it's true about the plastic ribs breaking from the slightest touch after about 5 years. I was thinking about replacing mine with the same product, but I see you haven't fixed the problem. So Ikea... instead of responding with your default 180 day return policy that is useless at the 5 year mark, how about making the ribs from wood or bamboo so they won't disintegrate and become unable to stay open after 5 years? And how about making replacement ribs from the same wood or bamboo? You would also eliminate one more product made with a petroleum part from ending up in our landfills, which looks like my only option now. How disappointing to have blinds that still look good, but have to be thrown out so soon. I'm losing my faith in your store. 🫤
Simple to installHoaiGreat shades that are easy to install and move as needed. I like that they have more sizes available now. The white provides privacy but still allows natural sunlight in.
