No Drain Hole, But Nice OtherwiseElizabethI ordered these online and never dreamed there would be no drain hole on the bottom. Since they’re ceramic, it’s not like one can be drilled in, either. The lack of the drainage holes really limits their use, and I’d have not gotten them to begin with had I realized they had solid bottoms.3

Please don’t discontinue these.MedbhWe love these pots for quality and the aesthetic of their natural stone look. Every new plant in our house gets one. On our last trip to IKEA there were only two sizes and very few of them. Please don’t discontinue this staple item.5

Best Plant PotVladimirI have about 9 of these in different sizes and they're the best. Have held up over the years indoors and outdoors. It is disappointing that they don't come with drainage holes but a masonry bit and a minute later and that problem is fixed. Do note that this voids your warranty but to me it is worth the cost. These also came with saucers a long time ago but those ended up cracking so I think they removed them. I found cheap plastic ones that matched this color at my local home improvement store and I'm very happy. Every time I shop I want to buy more of these haha.5

What is earthenware?

Ceramic is heat-resistant and durable – and the base material is types of clay. It has been used by humans to make practical objects for thousands of years. Earthenware is a ceramic type made of clay that gives an opaque surface. At IKEA we use earthenware primarily for home decor products like plant pots.
