A few flaws - size, drainage, stainsNicholasI've had this for over a year - single person in a smallish kitchen, usually cooking for 1 or 2 - and it does the job, but I wish it had a few changes.
- First, the thing is too small - the Gladelig 8" plates I use (on the smaller side for full dinner plates) don't fit quite right and will fall forward if placed facing front. I turn them around so that they all lean toward the back/wall, which works, but if the rack was just a biit wider things would fit a little more naturally. Seems weird that Ikea didn't test this rack with their own dishware(?). Also, that extra .5-1" or so would be helpful bc the rack usually can't hold an entire wash-up after cooking a meal (i use a dishtowel as an extra drying mat).
- The other annoyance I have is that it picks up water stains like crazy - there's nowhere for the water to drain, and the rack walls' sharp angles make cleaning the surface difficult. Even when I've tried to deep clean it, the white stains always return somewhat upon drying.
Poor Design, High PricePaulaI was really looking forward to replacing the towel+plate rack I'd been getting by with in my studio apt. The concept is good, but the price and design are flawed. The utensil holder and rack are both awful. The tiny, short divider on inside of utensil cup may as well not be there: forks, knives, and spoons fall sideways and tangle into each other! I may return to not having a utensil holder. The tiny and too-narrow bars of the rack barely hold anything and too few of them, unless you happen to eat on child-size, flat plastic plates. I might take my old plate rack and see if it fits on this drain tray, but then having a nice looking matching set goes right out the window, again. Even if there were no design flaws, the price is too high for what this is. Fix both the design flaws and the price, please. Does anyone test these designs in real world situations before deciding to sell them? If so, this product got missed.
Functional & perfect size!AngelI love the functionality of this and it works perfectly in my sink!
Multi functional dish rackLindaLove it … especially how narrow it is for my narrow sink area and fits nicely over my sink!
Excellent appliance to my kitchen SoniaExcellent appliance to my kitchen
Good size for solo-livingAnniePerfect size for someone that lives alone. But probably would not re-purchase bc it does get limescale buildup very quickly which is kinda annoying
LILLHAVET Dish rackYurisIt’s very convenient for any small space, but it didn’t works for me. But I did like it and easy to clean it..
Looks AmazingAliciaGreat item: good size and design, but if I were to change something, I'd rather it be white or taupe; not black.
Great product, one exception…CathyI really like this dish drainer because of its size. It is small and compact. We use it as a temporary place to set washed items before drying them and putting away. The one exception I have is because my city has hard water and because this product is black and has a slight texture, the hard water deposited show up fast and are difficult to remove. I have been applying chopping block oil to the plastic base to hide the hard water stains.
Way too smallMelvinEven for one person and limited space, I felt it was too small. It's been durable though.
great little dish rackSkyeThis dish rack is really well designed, and actually looks nice given that it's plastic. Not sure if most kitchen sinks are a standard length front to back, but the wire part fits my sink perfectly. I never thought something as simple as a dish rack would make me so happy, but I'm really pleased with how functional this one is!
PerfectJasonSuch a great size and wonderful quality.
Love ChelseaIf you have a family go with the bigger rack. This is good for little plates and glasses.
CompactDanausing this and i am one person- quick washes between running the dishwasher. Fits nicely beside the sink.
Dish drain EstherPerfect for my kitchen counter. Easy to store away when I’m not using it. Sturdy and easy to clean
Amazing, I've gained so much counter spaceTamaraI like how I can put the wire part over the sink, and also use the black one as a second draining area in case I have a bigger load. Then I stack them back together once I'm done.
Perfect ChrisItem exactly as described. I am thrilled with this narrow dish drain and recommend it highly.
Compact small dish drainerJennyThe design is sturdy and fits well over my sink. I like how I can split the two parts to double my drying area if needed. I thin it's perfect for a student.
FunctionalTakakoDon't take a lot of space, but do the job for me.
FunctionalCaritaVery functional, very compact size drying tray. It doesn't take up a lot of counter space but still holds a lot of dishes.
