We recommend a TV bench to be a bit wider than the TV placed on it. This TV bench suits a TV up to 57 inches. You can choose a larger TV if it’s not heavier than the specified max load for the bench’s top.

First bad IKEA review 😕KarolyneBeen buying Ikea products and building them myself for years and NEVER had any complaints until I purchased this product. I’ve had the Kallax Shelf twice before and wanted to try the Kallax TV unit this time and boy do I regret it. Just while assembling it got scratch in a bunch of places. I wasn’t rough or anything. Never had this experience with any of the ikea desks, shelf’s, etc. The paint for this one is horrible. Not only that but the TV unit comes with big orange and black warning stickers in the middle second shelf that are obvious so I tried to gently remove them and it took the paint off! My goodness, this does NOT compare to the original Kallax Shelf! For the same price you can get the original Kallax which is bigger and better qualit so definitely go for that one.1

Great!LindaThis was pretty easy to put together by myself. One issue I had putting it together was the dowels since it has 2 long ones that didn’t fit anywhere, so I had to order more of the smaller ones. The other issue is that it scratches very easily. I accidentally got a small scratch in the back just from a slight slip of the little tool that comes with it. So once it’s in place, it’ll be permanent. I read where one reviewer said that they had to take the whole tv stand apart to add the separate base, but I didn’t have that issue. I only had to take out 4 screws which wasn’t a problem at all. Still working on putting the drawers and doors on it, which has been the most time consuming part of the whole assembly process. Overall I love it and very happy with my purchase. 5
