Beautiful!TimDived into my first ever IKEA purchase with a 60" high storage cabinet with bi-fold doors. Assembled well and was very happy with the finished product. The self-closing hinges really make it a class act! Thanks IKEA for the idea!5
After long waitDaliaRight size, lots of space inside, looks good, easy to assemble, sturdy. One thing though- 2 pricey , give or take two years ago price was half of today’s .5
Horrible connectorsJosephThe drop in fittings to the pressed board connecting the sides and bottom are horrible. The pressed board broke apart. Luckily I was able to still put the unit together using additional L brackets I had around the house. For the price I would’ve expected better connectors. I would give 0 stars if I could. I will not be buying any other furniture that is constructed using the drop in connectors1

I just love this cabinet.JanetI just love this cabinet. I keep all my “stuff” in it that I don’t want to leave out5
Great piece with little flawRaghavendraIt was not too difficult to assemble. The only complaint is that even through the sliding door is expected to be adjusted, the groves for fixing it are not aligned and it was very hard to move the iron clamps to adjust.4
Looks great in my bedroom.JimLooks great in my bedroom. Doors slide very smooth and quiet.4
Beautiful and functionalJenniferLove the folding doors - fits nicely in our dining room/office where regular cabinet doors would be clunky. Now all of our office stuff is put away - yay!5
LOVE!DanielleI was nervous about purchasing this cabinet due to the lack of reviews and some people damaging the fiberboard while assembling the product. I have the Ikea Aurdal closet system, which I love, and the assembly of this product is exactly like the assembly of the drawers for the Aurdal. I was able to assemble the entire thing on my own and the piece looks and works great. Love the sliding doors, ample storage space, adjustable shelving and clean look. Very, VERY happy with my Idanas Cabinet after being somewhat hesitant and skeptical of the quality of the product before purchasing. Would definitely buy it again and am currently contemplating a second one for another area of the house.5
Poor ConstructionShannonI've had a lot of IKEA furniture over the years and realize it's not the best quality furniture in existence. However, this item was created with these drop-in fittings that hold the main structure together. The problem is that the drop-in fittings fit into pressed board and that board breaks so easily if the fittings are not lined up and completely level.2

Disappointing quality for a beautiful cabinetScottI have purchased many Ikea products over the last 20 years; I have never had an issue assembling one until now — nor been more disappointed in their customer service. During the first steps, the primary connections between the base of the cabinet and the exterior sides shredded, making the cabinet frame unusable. I could not reach Ikea through telephone support; their system would not recognize the number tone on my mobile phone and hung up on me. Customer service through the online chat tool yielded no solution; I broke it, they said, I keep it. Expensive lesson learned.2
Beautiful for sewing roomDianaI have purchased this for my sewing room! I love the doors. It hides away sewing clutter leaving a nice calm space!5
Nice cabinet very roomy andMichaelNice cabinet very roomy and easy to put things5

What is veneer?

A veneer is a thin wooden sheet attached to things like particleboard to add a durable surface and a natural wood look – so we enjoy the many benefits of wood without using solid wood. The most common veneer types are birch, ash, oak, and beech, and we’ve made a special UV lacquer that helps preserve the wood's natural structure. A benefit with a slightly thicker veneer is how you can repair and sand the surface if it’s damaged to give furniture a longer and more beautiful life.
