Product details

Of course your home should be a safe place for the entire family. That’s why a safety fitting is included so that you can attach the storage unit to the wall.

Designed to be used both on its own throughout the home and is also a perfect fit with other furniture in the HAUGA series, either to coordinate the style or create bigger storage solutions.

Maximize your storage and create a coordinated look by building your own HAUGA storage combination.

A versatile piece of furniture that you can use in many different rooms in the home.

Thanks to the distinctive look and smart design, furniture in the HAUGA series works well on their own and even better together. The flat, smooth sides create seamless units when pieces are placed next to each other.

Perfect for folded as well as long and short hanging clothes.

Sliding doors allow more room for furniture because they don’t take any space to open.

You get a handy place to hang your bags, bathrobe and accessories on on the side of the wardrobe by adding SKOGSVIKEN hooks for door.

The characteristic top shelf is a common feature in the entire HAUGA series and adds to the traditional style. Regardless if you use it for hats, boxes, or decorations, the edge keeps your things in place.

The frame is easy to assemble thanks to the construction with a wedge dowel that easily clicks into the pre-drilled holes.

Different wall materials require different types of fasteners. Use fasteners suitable for the walls in your home.

The clothes rail holds about 30 shirts on hangers.

Doesn’t have all the bells and whistles that PAX has, but I love it!CeceliaAs I mentioned this doesn’t have all the upgrades/customization options that the PAX has, but it was in stock and the right size for my space. I love it. It looks like a built in and it was actually really easy to put together. I bought extra shelves and didn’t use the hanging bars because I am using it as a linen closet. Opens and closes very easily… it’s great.5
Excellent WardrobeAshleyI bought two of these, one for my Husband and one for myself. They are easy to assemble and have lots of room. It loses a star because I have not found shoe storage products that fit the bottom area. The dimensions of the lower compartments do not accommodate most of the IKEA storage products.4
Great wardrobeMandyI bought two of these and easily put them together by myself in 3-4 hours. They were what I was looking for.5
Love itSyrinaLots of storage room! Looks even better in person! Easy installation! Very sturdy! Love that it have room to hang up your clothes on both sides of the closets with extra storage at the bottom and on top!5
Really like the shelvesMarjorieOnce the directions started to make since it was easy to put together5
Not too sturdyMUSTAFAThe load bearing capacity of the shelves and hanging rod is very much limited since the vertical panels are all particle boards. Also the mounts that support the shelves are flimsy plastic. So overall the unit is just ok but not sturdy for its price.3
Wonderful WardrobeDAVIDThis piece looks fantastic assembled, and was just what I needed for my 10ft x 9.5ft bedroom without a closet in Brooklyn, NY! The only issue is that my plastic hangers from Target are *almost* too wide for it. Eek! They fit, but sometimes the sliding doors bump them against the backing.4
PracticalJohnNeed something that was sturdy and good quality and this fit the bill.4
Nice for the priceTaylor W.I love it but the backing doesn’t stay up well with what’s given so I had to nail in the back. Also I haven’t been able to find more rods to use to hang up things. It only comes with two. There’s a lot of empty space without it if your using this for a child’s closet storage.4
Looks awesome!DanielleThe wardrobe is wonderful but the directions for this item were harder to follow than other IKEA items.4
Warped sidesSophie M.I built it exactly according to the instructions, but when I tried to put the doors on they do not line up with the walls (aka there are always small gaps on upper left corner and bottom right). I tried flipping them upside down and switching them to no avail. I also used the crank included, which had no effect (in the photo, the doors both didn’t line up at the top whereas my left door doesn’t line up at the top and my right door doesn’t line up at the bottom). I then used a level on the side walls come to realize they are not straight and the doors cannot shut on either side.1
Great storage.DeborahUsing this in my laundry room. Two side by side. Bolted to wall and together. Wish the doors opened wider. You potentially lose some easy access space that way. Would buy again.4
Took some time to build but extremely satisfiedNibby S.Love everything about this sliding wardrobe. Super functional and although it took me like two hours to build I’m still happy with my decision. :) good quality and have this now for months now and looks like new. Good ample amount of storage space and lovely look. Modern and sleek.5
Very niceJefferyVery nice4
Love this closet. There wasMarleneLove this closet. There was however, 1 shelf screw hole that was too far for the attachments to be installed but we were able to get around by providing a rafter clip to support the shelf. One of the sliding doors cannot fully be closed but it's okay. The material is of very good quality and heavy too compared to other particle or composite boards. Overall I am happy with this purchase considering its price.5
Love it!YaraLove it!5
Excellent price for your moneyKEROLELove this. Measured perfectly. Very spacious inside and top storage super helpful5
Best Value @ Ikea for a WardrobeGlorimarThis is a great wardrobe for my older home with no closets. It was pretty easy to assemble. Only needed help standing it up. Is a pretty solid piece and functions as it is suppose to. Doors slide easily. Happy with my purchase!5

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA, we believe that sourced in responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

What is particleboard?

Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill waste – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a valuable resource instead of being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look. The day your sofa or bed needs replacing, the material in the particleboard can be recycled into something entirely new.
