Great Basic Light Filtering ShadeStephanieI have these throughout my entire house and love them. You could potentially see through these at night if the light inside was bright or somebody was standing up close to your window (creepy) but we use them with curtains and just close curtains at night. They are perfect in the daytime. They give you privacy during the day but you still get good light through them. I would recommend.5

Great look but not for meKaseyWe bought these for a new house we moved into but I ended up returning them because a) I bought the wrong size and b) I'm not certain yet they're the look I'm going for but they might be. They are a little thin but should give a good level of privacy and I love the hardware is very simple. Still unsure but good quality roman shades I'd consider again4

Simple roman shadeAarynLove this roman shade. Very well made. It is nice that it can be hung as is or can be placed on a curtain rod. My only wish was that it had more magnetic strips to add extra folds when the shade is up. Very siple yet very pretty and easy to install.

Great Light Filtering ShadeStephanieI have these in almost every window in my house and we love them. Super easy to install with minimal markings on window trim. Not 100% private at night but we also have drapes. They are reasonably private during the day and still let in lots of natural filtered light. They make our rooms glow during the day.5
Easy Roman ShadesRebeccaI live in a nearly 100 year old house with very wonky and weird window casings that do not fit traditional blinds without a gap. I bought this shade to cover a window in the bathroom and it has been great (I've had it installed for over a year without incident or wear).
I unscrewed the top metal hooks, slid out the plastic top support, and slid in a metal tension rod to hold these up. It worked like a charm. Highly recommend. Will be purchasing again for other rooms of my house. 5
Oh SNAP! The plastic ribs break! JohnAs other reviews mention, it's true about the plastic ribs breaking from the slightest touch after about 5 years. I was thinking about replacing mine with the same product, but I see you haven't fixed the problem. So Ikea... instead of responding with your default 180 day return policy that is useless at the 5 year mark, how about making the ribs from wood or bamboo so they won't disintegrate and become unable to stay open after 5 years? And how about making replacement ribs from the same wood or bamboo? You would also eliminate one more product made with a petroleum part from ending up in our landfills, which looks like my only option now. How disappointing to have blinds that still look good, but have to be thrown out so soon. I'm losing my faith in your store. 🫤2

Great window shades!SemeenI needed something to match my office decor and to be able to easily adjust the shades at the height needed to block out the direct sun. These shades are amazing because you can adjust the height quickly using the magnets in the shades. They fit onto the existing curtain rod and they look great. 5

Broken ribs, loose magnets dangerous for kids/pets Anonymous reviewerThese blinds are great, but they have one big flaw: The ribbing that encases the magnets (that allow you to raise the shades) break within a few years, even in climates that are not sunny/hot year-round. The magnets can become loose, which is dangerous for young children and pets. IKEA should really make replacement ribs available or redesign the ribbing so that it lasts.3

Top rail sagsAnonymous reviewerThe top rail is a super thin plastic tube, which sags immediately. In addition, the metal hanging 'eye' hardware, screwed into the plastic tube are loose.
I am ordering more due to the price point and use, but will replace the flimsy plastic tube with a piece of lathe or dowel before hanging. 2
Poor quality, cheap materialRobynThe reason I give this item 3 stars instead of 2 is because I am sure this would be just fine for a college student or someone with less than sufficient wages.
Fortunately, however, that is not my current situation; therefore I have returned them asap!3
