How can I find out the load capacity of IKEA products?
We want you to be able to use our products for as long as possible without problems.
That's why all IKEA products are tested according to furniture standards. We can tell you that our products are good for their intended purpose. This means, for example, that a wardrobe is tested as a closet and not like a shelf. These guidelines include load capacity tests and are aimed at normal use of the furniture.
For some articles, we indicate a maximum load. You can find the information on the product page under "Product details". When a maximum load on a rack or shelf is mentioned, this applies to each shelf.
