Comfort

Feeling comfortable is a basic need for achieving good sleep. When adapting and personalizing our sleeping environment, we maximize our comfort levels. In a comfortable bed, the right mattress and pillow are important for a good night’s sleep. The area around the bed is important too, with rugs and bed curtains adding to the comfort level.

Light

In general, the darker the bedroom, the better for our sleep quality. Dimmable lights are a great way to get yourself ready for sleep. Even better are lights that you can dim and turn on and off from a distance using a remote control. As your eyelids begin to droop, simply press a button from the comfort of your bed and drift off into the land of nod.

Temperature

Key for a good night’s sleep is a comfortable indoor temperature no matter the season or climate. Sleeping comfort varies in different climates. Even so, most people agree that they like to feel warm when it is cold and cold when it is warm. The body’s core temperature drops during deep sleep, so a room that’s too warm may prevent that essential deep sleep from happening.

Air quality

Air quality isn’t the most obvious factor in getting a good night’s sleep, but unclean air or unbalanced humidity levels in your home can disturb your sleep and affect your health. Outdoor air pollution can seep in from window frames and electrical outlets. n noisy and polluted areas, opt for an air purifier that traps pollution, dust and pollen particles and ventilates the air.

Noise

Making the sleeping environment as quiet as possible and protect from unwanted and intrusive sounds will help create a good night’s sleep. The quieter the room, the better your quality of sleep. Simple solutions can help reduce noise in the bedroom. Soft furnishings absorb sound and napped textiles, such as velvet, are excellent sound absorbers.

Colors & furnishings

A calm and comfortable environment is essential to create a good night’s sleep. Choosing the right color and accessories, and having an organized and clutter-free room is just as important as having the perfect pillow.
