The lid creates a vacuum when placed on a container ‒ keeping the food fresh longer and helping the food retain both heat and coolness.
The lid can be used to protect from splatter in the oven and the microwave.
Wash the lid in the dishwasher and use it again and again, as this helps you reduce the amount of plastic and aluminum foil you use.
The container is made of glass, which does not absorb odors or discolor from tomato sauce, etc, so the food container is easy to clean.

Good size for riceMiAll my food containers are glass plus a plastic cover. I liked the bamboo covers before but they don’t stay nice looking. The plastic lids are more cost effective, IMO.
