What is the weight restriction on Children's beds, bunk beds and cots?
IKEA beds meet legal weight requirements for normal everyday use, which includes sleep, relaxing, hanging out with friends and playing games.
IKEA children's beds can hold the weight of a parent and child, e.g. when reading a bedtime story.
IKEA bunk and loft beds are tested to take the weight of a 100kg person lying down per level. However, please note that if the same 100kg person were to jump around on the bed, the bed would be less secure.
IKEA Children cots have a weight rating of 25kg. We would not recommend an adult sit on the cot with the child for story time.
