Reviews
Good but not Great Anonymous reviewerThe plastic insert inside the metal ceiling fitting is around 10 mm deeper than the metal fitting which means when the light goes up there is at least a 10 mm gap between the ceiling and the metal fitting. You have to trim this excess off the plastic so that the metal fitting sits flush to the ceiling.Poor design and if you're not handy not great to do this, I had to adjust 5 lights in this way. To get the plastic insert out and free to do this you have to cut the wire which is another step to deal with when refitting. In short if you know what you're doing it's a pain but doable. A spark will no doubt charge you extra for the extra work required to fit them correctly and flush to the ceiling.
Very large shadesAnonymous reviewerLove these industrial style lamps, I added vintage style smart bulbs which gives a lovely relaxed lighting effect.
poor designAnonymous reviewerMy electrician struggled to fit these lights as the inner plastic base fitting for the ceiling is too deep, leaving a gap between the outer metal fitting and the ceiling. What should have been a simple job took much more time and eventually after many options tried required trimming of the plastic plate ultimately costing me more in electricians time and effort!
Interesting to note that none of the pictures on the Ikea website show the fitment attached to the ceiling , which might be because they are aware of this unsightly gap?
Love it. Above dining tableAnonymous reviewerVery nice focused light. Really zones our dining table well. We are really pleased with this
GreatAnonymous reviewerLook smart , good quality & easy to assemble .
I have to returned too small size for my kitchen .
Looks far more expensive than it isAnonymous reviewerExactly what I wanted for my new kitchen and dinning room. The cable did not have a long enough drop for the kitchen, but my electrician was able to change the fitting to extend the drop. The others in the dining room were perfect and needed no adjustments. Absolutely thrilled and intend to buy the floor lamp as well
Anonymous reviewerThis would have been ideal but for the fact that my ceiling is too low, and so the light spread was very limited.
Nice looks, awkward to installAnonymous reviewerLight looks great in the dining room, however, it does not sit flush with the ceiling due to the plastic strap thing and trying to install the screws to refix the ceiling cover on is not easy as you are trying to hold up the light and also put two small screws in holes. Would have been better if it was just the metal bracket without the plastic zip strap.
Industrial lookingAnonymous reviewerGreat ceiling lamp we are using it over our main dining table. It is a simple looking lamp and matches the floor lamp, so perfect for our ‘industrial, look in our dining room. We used some extra chain when hanging it with big polished steel ceiling hooks.
HEKTAR Pendant lampAnonymous reviewerGood lamp just the fixing of sealing wireing is not so good had to make my adpter

What is steel?
Steel has unique characteristics when it is stretched and shaped since it remains strong. It provides strength to everything from skyscrapers and cars to bed frames and outdoor furniture. The steel industry is moving in the direction of more energy-efficient production and stronger steel qualities. It doesn’t lose any of its properties when recycled and today steel is one of the most recycled materials in the world.
