IDANÄS upholstered ottoman bed has a thick, sloping headboard that provides comfortable support for your back - perfect for lazy mornings and long evenings when reading a newspaper or a book in bed.

The storage space under the bed holds everything from extra duvets and pillows to seasonal clothes. Or why not the ironing board?

It’s easy to access your things under the bed thanks to the integrated lift mechanism. Simply pull the strap and the base lifts smoothly and easily.

The ottoman’s storage space has a protective lining as its base, which keeps your things off the floor and helps to keep them clean and dust free.

Classic button detailing makes the headboard eye-catching in any bedroom.

The upholstery is soft to the touch and makes bedtime even cosier.

Safety and compliance

For this ottoman bed you need to use a mattress with a maximum weight of 40 kg. If the mattress exceeds the maximum weight, the slatted base can suddenly fall and cause injury.This cover’s ability to resist abrasion has been tested to handle 50,000 cycles. 15,000 cycles or more is suitable for furniture used every day at home. Over 30,000 cycles means a good ability to resist abrasion.The cover has a lightfastness level of 5-6 (the ability to resist colour fading) on a scale of 1 to 8. According to industry standards, a lightfastness level of 4 or higher is suitable for home use.

Sturdy, great looking and well made!Anonymous reviewerWe saw this bed whilst visiting an ikea store and as our current bed frame had broke after 15 years we ordered this one. The delivery people were very accommodating and helpful. The items came in 4 boxes, very well packed. Instructions were easy to follow, it did need 2 people to put together and took roughly 2.5-3hrs. Very happy with our standard king size bed and standard king mattress. However the mattress doesn’t appear to fit the size of bed there appears to be a 6inch gap? This is very confusing.5

Perfect bedAnonymous reviewerWe wanted an ottoman bed for storage. It came in 4 boxes, all very well packed and protected from damage. It was so easy to put together. You needed 2 people at one point, but the instructions were simple to understand, which made it so easy. I was wondering how well it would remain raised as we've had one in the past and it kept collapsing. No complaints with this. It's solid and very well made and looks good.5

“Nowadays, the bed is not only a place where you sleep, but also work, study, watch TV series – and socialise digitally with friends and family. That’s why one of my ideas with IDANÄS upholstered bed frame was to make the sloping headboard as comfy as the backrest of a sofa. Another that it should give a calm and cosy impression, but still feel light, stylish and elegant. Most of all, I hope many people will love this piece of furniture and spend a lot of time in it!"
