Product details

Suitable for rooftop windows, tilt windows and turn windows.

Can be cut to the desired width.

The blind can be cut and re-cut to fit a smaller window. Ensure that you do not exceed maximum cut length.

The blind is cordless for increased child safety.

Drill-free mounting using the 4 included brackets with adhesive tape. The adhesive has been tested and approved for smooth glass surfaces.

The assembly instructions include a table with numbers corresponding to those on the fabric and rails to facilitate precise measuring and cutting.

Easy to maneuver using either of the plastic handles at the top or bottom.

A series of holes ensure you cut with precision and also create a pleasant pattern when light filters through the holes.

The fabric dims daylight entering the room and reduces glare. It gives a comfortable sense of privacy as people cannot see in. At night, silhouettes can be perceived from outside when the room is lit.

Good to know

Highly recommended to attach to surfaces made of glass.

For window frames or surfaces not recommended for the adhesive, mount the brackets with screws using a drill or screwdriver. The brackets are prepared with small holes for this purpose.

To reposition or reuse on another window, remove adhesive-mounted brackets with plastic hand scraper. Replace with new brackets available cost-free at IKEA stores or contact IKEA Customer Services for help.

For door windows or windows taller than 130 cm, mount 2 pleated blinds to cover the whole surface.

The top rail of the 100 cm wide blind can be cut max. 40 cm.

Suitable for rooftop windows, tilt windows and turn windows.

If you need to adapt the dimensions of the pleated blind to your window, cut the top/bottom rails and the rods with a metal saw. Cut the fabric with a safety knife.

The included tool makes it easier to get straight, accurate lines when adapting the size of your rail/rod/fabric. It also protects your fingers.

For a smooth, friction-free glide, apply a few drops of silicone spray lubricant to the lock mechanism in the brackets. Ensure the spray is suitable for plastic and metal.

Can also be used in bathrooms.

Do the job ok though a few nigglesAnonymous reviewerLifting blinds are hard to find and expensive. Once fitted these work ok though it's hard getting an even spread of fold lines in view from outside and the lift clamps are stiff. Instructions are poor. CUTTING - almost essential is a vice or Workmate to hold tight the supplied cutting guide. A new disposable knife with a thin blade cut the folded material neatly if finger pressure is applied near the cutting line . Similarly a junior hacksaw with a new blade easily cut the rods if they're clamped tight in the guide.4
Great concept poorly executedAnonymous reviewerThese seem like great blinds, but cutting them to size is nigh on impossible if you're looking for any kind of accuracy, which is needed when fitting them onto glass. Pictorial instructions are always a challenge (please IKEA, a couple of text sentences to clarify each step would really help), but in this case the most important step (measuring for the cut) is in a tiny image which, even when magnified, doesn't show sufficient detail. I wasted one blind by cutting it according to that image as best I could work it out and it's nearly 3cm too narrow. The rods are steel so a junior hacksaw won't cut them unless you're Dwayne Johnson. The plastic guide is helpful until the saw cuts through it, so all in all, much as these blinds seem to offer a great solution for my needs, I'm not going to risk another cutting error and will be returning the rest. Packaging: the part number is tiny and you may not be aware that there are two types, blackout and daylight, so look closely before buying.2
Cut to size failedAnonymous reviewerMy window is 80cm wide so I had to cut the blind, which doesn't seem to be a problem according to the product description. But the instructions were very unclear for the cutting of the actual blind, so now im stuck with an frame but the blind is to short and the whole thing doesn't work at all. Very disappointed in Ikea!!1
BlindsAnonymous reviewerSimple to install and look good once up! Easy way to cut and look neat.5
Great blind.Anonymous reviewerThe blackout blind type was the best we have seen. It’s quite rigid and easy to fit. Don’t believe the online reviews if you have a decent hacksaw and a sharp Stanley knife you can fit it!5
Really bad design & developmentAnonymous reviewerRubbish would be a complimentary way to describe this product. It’s flimsy, poorly made, badly conceived and constructed design. It’s tricky/fiddly to install if you are reducing the size to fit your window. Please note; reducing the width will compromise were the metal rods need to be aligned - if you’re measurements are out by 1mm the blind will not work properly. I’ve replaced mine after 5 weeks. A waste of time, money and resources. I will post this review on google, Facebook and instagram 1
Pleated roof blindAnonymous reviewerExcellent quality and looks great ! 5
pleated blind replacementAnonymous reviewerthis product is perfect for roof window, may I know if I could order additional pleated blind for replacement which I would like to try block-out one5
Hornvallmo pleated blindAnonymous reviewerBought online after viewing IKEA website. I should have visited the store , but the distance from home was a distraction. Decided to trust my faith in IKEA. Supplied on time , packaged well, the blind was being used to offer a degree of privacy on a new stable door , the top half in clear glass . The blind was fitted by me to the door, using the self adhesive fittings ,so very pleased no screws to mark the new door. Patience is essential ,measuring in millimetres is key. The blind is able to be raised or lowered , Very pleased with the overall look5
Fab blinds - easy to install and a huge saving compared to local firmsAnonymous reviewerWe had a quote for made-to-measure blinds for our bay window and French doors. We were shocked at the cost (over £3k) so thought we'd have a look in IKEA and see if there was anything suitable. Found these blinds which were a bargain and new at the time - under £300 for all the ones we needed ( we decided one per window in the bay, despite some needing a lot of cutting down). They're easy to cut (just need a sharp stanley knife and a small hacksaw to cut the poles), straightforward to install (we did it that afternoon) and look great when in! Well done IKEA! We love them so much we plan to get them for the rest of the windows that need blinds in our house as we do the rooms up!5
Excellent Anonymous reviewerDies exactly what I needed it to do.5
PerfectAnonymous reviewerSuper price and measurements. Able to fit myself5
Really stylish and incredible value for moneyAnonymous reviewerWe had our conservatory converted with a solid roof and wanted new blinds to complete the look. These were conspicuously good value compared with tailor-made options. They are super-versatile, incredibly easy to fix and customise (they provide straightforward guidelines and a cutter block. All you need is a junior hacksaw and a Stanley knife—it couldn't be simpler!). Just two things I would change: 1. They are just a little too short for my conservatory windows—so I have them finishing a few cm short of the bottom (which actually looks fine) 2. It is disarmingly easy to inadvertently order blackout when you wanted light-dimming (or vice versa). Be sure to double check! In summary, very happy with the blinds, delighted with the value for money and could not be happier with IKEA's customer service (yes, I ordered the wrong blinds, but they collected and exchanged them free of charge. Fantastic!)5
Perfect fit, easy to install.Anonymous reviewerNice blind fits perfectly, easy to install 5
Easy to install very thinAnonymous reviewerThese blinds are easy to install you just stick them on the window. They look nice and neat when up. They are very thin so let a lot of light in it is only functional as a privacy blind not if you want to block some of the light out.4
Careful with fitAnonymous reviewerThe blind works great. I found the instructions a little harder to follow than usual ikea. The problem is the fit. Product description reads as a cut to fit blind but it’s not that simple. There are limitations in where the blind can be cut. As I want the blind to stick on the window pane this means the blind is 5mm short in width. Be aware. 3
Would have been great if it workedAnonymous reviewerGot two of these as the image shows them sticking to the window pane with the adhesive. Tried to saw the rods to size and the saw would barely go through them, which evidently bent them making the whole thing squint when assembled. The sticky pads are not very sticky and when we tried to stick the blind on they fell off. Called customer service who gave me a refund for one blind.. Would look amazing if they didn't bend when cut to size.2
Really great!Anonymous reviewerPerfect solution for my sash windows. They fit the bottom half for privacy and allow light through and the top half of the window still opens perfectly. Could also fit a second above to cover the entire window if needed.5

Function solution

The fabric dims the daylight

The fabric dims the daylight entering the room when it is brighter outside, and reduces glare. It gives you a comfortable sense of privacy because people cannot see in during the daytime. At night, when the room is lit, it is possible to perceive shapes and silhouettes from outside.
