‘Bee’ inspired by our honeycomb blinds for every room

The difference between cellular shades and pleated shades

While pleated blinds and cellular blinds have a similar accordion fold or layered ruffle look, cellular blinds have an insulating honeycomb structure made of two or more fabric layers that helps prevent heat exchange at your windows. Thanks to these insulating properties, cordless cellular shades may help keep your home more comfortable while reducing heating and cooling costs.

Pleated blinds are made from a single layer of fabric that pulls down easily. Once the blinds are pulled down to your preferred placement, they are kept in place by securing them with the included clips. Pleated blinds are an affordable window treatment solution that filters light, provides privacy and can be easily trimmed to your desired length. However, because they are typically made from a single layer of lightweight material, their insulating properties are limited.
