The polyester filling holds its shape and gives your body soft support.

You can angle the loose back cushions any way you like, and adapt the seat depth and back support to suit your needs.

The cushion can be turned over and therefore has two sides for even wear.

  • The cover has a lightfastness level of 5 (the ability to resist colour fading) on a scale of 1 to 8. According to industry standards, a lightfastness level of 4 or higher is suitable for home use.This cover’s ability to resist abrasion has been tested to handle 50,000 cycles. 15,000 cycles or more is suitable for furniture used every day at home. Over 30,000 cycles means a good ability to resist abrasion.

Other than matching the sofa colour, the quality of this item is really disappointing for an Ikea product, as the cushion would need refilling soon after your buy (I noted the issue maybe 1 month after, but only now after about 3 years I am refilling it with good foam crumbs). In summary, we could say you are only buying the pillow cover, but not its interior.1

Material

What is coated fabric?

If you want a leather feel and an easy-care surface, coated fabric is a durable alternative – often at a lower price. We use fabric made of recycled polyester and have begun a transition from fossil-based to renewable material in the coating. Dimethylformamide (DMF) is a solvent that’s common in production, but since 2016 we’re instead using a water-based solvent.
